Choosing glasses is incredibly personal, but there are some general rules worth following in terms of face shape. For square faces, SOFTENING THE LINES IS IMPORTANT, so opt for oval silhouettes and soft colours. Round faces need a bit of definition, so going for a geometric shape is a good idea. For triangular faces, an oversized frame is the way to BALANCE OUT THE PROPORTIONS.

Aviator
Always check the size first – if you have an existing frame, it should be listed on the inside of the arm. Making sure the nose bridge suits your nose shape and SIZE IS KEY TO AVOIDING AN UNCOMFORTABLE FIT. If you have a wider or flatter bridge, look for a frame with adjustable nose pads.

Cat-Eye
There are lots of oversized frames around for AW23. Square-shaped frames inspired by the 1970s, STATEMENT, STAINLESS STEEL AVIATORS and acetate hues are all on trend this season.

Oversized
If your prescription is on the heavier side, TRY A SLIGHTLY THICKER FRAME. Even with ultra-thin lenses, some prescriptions won’t sit flush with thinner profile frames, but a thicker frame can hide the thickness of the lenses nicely.

Your day-to-day lifestyle should certainly factor into your frame choice. If you’re wearing your glasses for most of the day, CONSIDER SOMETHING LIGHTER so you aren’t constantly getting a sore nose or ears. If you're wearing your glasses in front of your computer a lot, ADD BLUE-LIGHT FILTER LENSES or an MAR coating.
