I have been seriously impressed with the sales this season. I have these Jacquemus sandals in black and they are extremely versatile, so I was very happy to see the white pair still on sale at THE OUTNET. I love the colour, shape and the chain detail of this JW Anderson bag, too, and the discount is so good. Finally, I’ve wanted this Totême textured sweater all season. I can wear it now during this not-so-summery weather and later it will slot seamlessly into my autumn wardrobe.

The summer sale is the perfect time to pick up unique evening pieces. This Leila top puts an elegant twist on a classic white evening blouse, and paired with this Nanushka pouch bag, it makes for a lovely colourful evening look. For more glamorous evenings, these Massimo Dutti sequinned trousers are a show-stopper. I always make at least one investment purchase in the sales, and this double-breasted twill blazer will transform any look.

I loved this Aje dress when it launched at the start of the season and the sale price makes it all the more tempting. The high street still has some great sale buys hanging around. I saw this H&M embroidered dress in store the other day and was really impressed by the quality – so I’ve ordered it for my upcoming holiday.

While sale season is a great time to snap up designer pieces for less, I also love rummaging on the high street to pick up those pieces I’ve long had my eye on. This gilet from Zara and this Massimo Dutti linen top are two good examples. Plus, the tail end of the sales are always a great time to invest in designer denim ahead of the new season – especially if the discounts are as good as they are right now.

Now's the time to top up on staple pieces and this ARKET long-sleeve striped linen shirt is a prime example. This Mango crochet dress can be worn casually with sandals and a crossbody bag, or you can dress it up with statement jewellery and an evening clutch bag. Massimo Dutti’s blazers are such good quality, too. I’m always looking for a good bag and this black Zara braided number is the perfect all-day tote. Finally, I’ve had my eye on these Aligne light-wash denim shorts forever, and now looks like the moment to take the plunge.
