BEST MOCKTAIL BAR:

Torstig, Hoxton

For a clear-headed start to 2024, you should know that Brighton's Torstig is heading to Hoxton for a two-week stint. Created by Luke and Emmi, who drew inspiration from Copenhagen's nolo culture, Torstig swaps your favourite cocktails for note-perfect replicas. From the Agerup (the team’s take on a margarita) to the Strandby (a dupe for an espresso martini), this is true ‘can’t tell’ mixology. Find Torstig at 93 Kingsland Road from 5th to 20th January.

BEST FOR WELLNESS:

Ecstatic Dance London

The team behind Ecstatic Dance have a few house rules: no booze, no shoes, no phones, no chit chat. While strictly a club night, this event has a heavy focus on the wellness aspects of sober living, offering guided meditation to help you get out of your head and into your body. The aim of the night is to dance like nobody’s watching and, with the live DJ set and killer sound systems, you probably will. To round things off, nights finish with a relaxation session, ensuring you are ready for the best post-disco sleep of your life. Most of the events are on Saturday nights, but there are regular collabs with universities in London, so keep your eye out for upcoming events.
