Prepping Right

“If you want a look that’s natural, glow-y and budge-proof, you need to prep your skin well. Bobbi Brown’s Vitamin Enriched Face & Eye Base products moisturise and prime all at once. Just remember to use a small amount of the Eye Base around the eyes to nourish the area and help your concealer glide on. Then, take time to really massage the Vitamin Enriched Face Base into your skin ahead of applying any make-up. Don’t neglect lip prep either – use a hydrating tint like this one to soften and smooth. It’s clear on application, but the minute you apply it, it reacts with your pH to enhance your natural tone of pink.”

Correct Your Tone

“You can’t rival Bobbi Brown's Corrector for faking eight hours of sleep. It instantly brightens up dull and dark patches – especially around the eyes. Take a small amount and apply it to your skin, then softly blend it out with a tool like Bobbi Brown’s Full Coverage Touch-Up Brush. Great if you get any sudden breakouts – this disguises redness in a flash. Follow up with the Skin Full Cover Concealer. It has a clever brush with a dipped section so you can apply product at the inner and outer corners of the eyes. Use the tapered tip to reach the smaller areas that need more coverage – including spots – and the back of the wand for areas like the sides of your nose or underneath the lip.”

Build Your Base

“Offering up to 16 hours of wear, the Bobbi Brown Skin Long-Wear Weightless Foundation SPF15 has a beautiful, buildable natural-looking texture that’s easy to work with and really goes the distance. Remember, you don’t need foundation everywhere – start with the areas that need the most coverage, which is often through the centre of your face, and work outwards. Set your base with a powder like Bobbi Brown's Sheer Finish Pressed formula, which absorbs any excess oil, controls shine and helps foundation last longer. Use a rolling technique as you apply it so you only deposit it where it’s needed. It’ll guarantee a softer finish.”

Focus On Your Cheeks

“Move onto bronzer next to add structure and depth to your face. Pick up a bronzer brush and use it with the product to connect the colour on your face, chest and neck. Brush some onto your forehead and take a ‘backward 3’ approach – across the forehead, onto the cheeks and then down onto your jawline. It gives subtle warmth that still looks natural.

After you’ve applied your bronzer, use Bobbi Brown’s Pot Rouge – a cream blusher that looks so lightweight on the skin. Use your ring finger to create a more natural-looking finish and apply it directly onto the apples of your cheeks. Tap it on in circular motions and blend up towards your temple.

Every bride needs a fresh glow and Bobbi Brown's Highlighting Powder really delivers. Apply it from your cheek up towards your temple – think of the application as if you’re hugging your eye. Use a smaller eye-blending brush to pin point your highlighter in areas like the tops of your cheekbones, bridge of the nose and a little on your chin.”

Brush Up Brows

“Use the spoolie side of this to comb your brow hairs up. You’ll then see your natural shape emerge and any gaps that need filling. Take the pencil and sculpt these areas first. Use light, deft, feathery strokes, always sweep the product through gently to keep it looking natural.”

Do A Smokey Eye

“Just glide these shadow sticks along your lid and blend them out from the lash line upwards to create a softly diffused smokey eye. Start with the shade Golden Bronze and go over it with shimmery Moonstone – it’s such a complementary shade and reflects the light beautifully. Use Bobbi Brown’s Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner to tightline. This gives more depth to your eye without it looking OTT. Finish your eyes with this Smokey Eye Mascara. I recommend starting in the middle of your lash line and pulling the wand upwards using the flat side. Then, create a fluttery effect with the tip of the wand – pull lashes outwards at the inner and outer corners and then use the flat part of the brush on your bottom lashes for a soft coating of colour.”

Layer Up Your Textures

“If you want a softer lip, try this Luxe Lipstick in ‘Pink Nude’. It’s a gorgeous bridal colour that you can wear as a muted stain. Pat it onto the centre of your lips and blend it out. If you want a bit more colour, apply it straight from the bullet. For a glossy effect, go over your lips with this Crushed Oil-Infused Gloss. It just gives a healthy, plump finish.”
