THE HOUSE & GROUNDS
Set within ten acres of pristine lawns, gardens and parkland, Gosfield Hall is home to an array of grand and elegant reception rooms that blend style with comfort. There’s a cocktail terrace for welcome drinks, and a pretty sheltered courtyard with a fountain full of koi carp.
Inside, the Grand Salon provides an impressive welcome for your guests, with its high hand-painted ceiling, double-height sash windows, roaring log fire and baby grand piano. The Prophet's Chamber (or the snug) is a cosy space for older guests to escape the hustle and bustle of the party, and the library oozes character and charm, as well as offering impressive views over the terrace, fountain and lake beyond. You can even use this space for your evening reception, allowing extra entertainment like casinos or caricaturists to set up adjacent to the main party room and bar.
In the party room, the bar is well stocked, and there’s an LED dance floor and DJ available as part of the wedding package – the DJ is more than happy to work with your own playlist.
THE CEREMONY
Gosfield Hall can accommodate weddings and civil partnerships of almost any size and shape. For your ceremony, there are three options at Gosfield Hall. Make an entrance with the 120ft-long aisle in Queen Charlotte's oak-panelled gallery. The aforementioned Grand Salon is a bright and airy space in which to say ‘I do’.
Finally, on warmer days, you can hold your ceremony outdoors. The original carriageway is the venue’s licensed setting for this: choose from the inner or outer courtyard to exchange your vows.
THE ACCOMMODATION
With 23 suites (14 double rooms and nine family rooms), guests can sleep over at the end of the wedding day. All guest bedrooms are en-suite, but because Gosfield Hall is not a hotel, accommodation is reserved by the bride and groom, so guests should speak directly to the couple should they need a room.
Want to kick off the celebrations early? Only a short walk away in the village of Gosfield, The Marquis provides the perfect pub-style setting for family and friends to meet the night before (or the day after) the main event. With a private bar, restaurant, accommodation for up to 21 guests and breakfast facilities, it can be combined with the Lady’s Chambers Cottage to create a memorable two-day celebration without the expense of hiring the entire house and grounds of Gosfield Hall.
THE FOOD & DRINK
The former Marquis of Buckingham's Ballroom is a unique setting in which to host your reception. It seats up to 116 guests under crystal chandeliers and double-height mirrors. From multi-course plated dinners to lavish buffets, couples can create a bespoke menu with a personal wedding manager from Gosfield Hall, who will guide you through the options.
Particular attention is paid to local and seasonal produce, while cocktails, wines and spirits will be carefully chosen to complement your menu perfectly. A menu of classic welcome drinks is designed to suit all but can be adapted to personal tastes, with cocktails and mocktails available too. Non-alcoholic options can be provided wherever they are preferred, and the Gosfield team can also source any personal favourites.
THE FINISHING TOUCHES
Gosfield Hall’s all-inclusive wedding packages can be enhanced further by some carefully chosen additions. Options include additional décor for your table, a gin cart, a Pimm’s station and personalised robes for your overnight guests to keep as mementos.
