CREATED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE WEDDING PRESENT CO

So, Katie, What Exactly Does The Wedding Present Company Do?

The Wedding Present Company has been helping couples create their perfect wedding gift lists for over 25 years. It’s a truly bespoke wedding list journey, from custom-made wedding presents to an exceptional showroom experience. Our Chelsea showroom is filled with boutique homeware, leading brands and exclusive presents you won't find anywhere else. We will also take care of all your wedding present admin, making the wedding registry experience truly effortless.

What Brands Do You Work With?

We work with over 400. From the big-name must-haves such as The White CompanyOKA and Le Creuset to small, boutique, artisanal brands like Issy Granger and Kalinko, we also offer art, antique and wine funds – there really is no limit as to what couples can add to their lists.

What Happens During A Showroom Visit?

Our showroom is arranged like the rooms in a house, to show you how presents may look in your own home. You can browse our unrivalled selection of wedding presents, allowing you to compare and contrast important items such as wine glasseschina and cutlery. You’ll be given a two-hour private appointment - complete with complimentary Nyetimber - with one of our dedicated Wedding List Advisors who will guide you through the process.

Are You Still Offering Virtual Appointments?

Absolutely – and you’ll get the same level of care, attention and expertise. Before your appointment we’ll put together a mood board for inspiration, made up of items we think you’ll love based on your tastes and requirements. Most couples like to begin with a virtual or showroom appointment, but if you know exactly what you want you can also create your list yourself online.

How Exactly Do The Logistics Work? Do You Have To Order Everything On Your List?

When you set up your gift list, we’ll ask whether you want to make it Fixed or Flexible. If you know exactly what you want to order, and you’d like your wedding presents delivered as soon as possible after your wedding, then choose our Fixed option. We’ll order items as your guests purchase them. If you opt for a flexible list, you'll be able to finalise your present selection after your wedding. Perfect for if you have a change of heart, if you have guests that buy you gifts off list, or are planning a house move.

Whether flexible or fixed, you can choose for your presents to be delivered in one delivery, or in groups as they arrive. We also offer nine months of free present storage from the date of your wedding.

How Long Does It Take To Receive Your Gifts?
We can deliver your presents in one single delivery, or in groups as they arrive. Delivery is free to any UK mainland address for all lists whose value of presents bought is over £2,000. We can also arrange international deliveries. Our friendly and reliable delivery drivers will deliver your presents at a time to suit you, whether in the evening during the week, or at the weekend. On the day of your delivery, our driver will give you a call with a one-hour delivery slot.

Is There Anything Else Couples May Like To Know?

We give our couples a 10% lifetime discount on future orders worth more than £100. Any time you want, you can top up your home collection, replace broken items or buy presents for others using the discount.

Finally, Any Tips For Couples On Where To Start When Curating Their Wedding List?
Use what we call the 'thank-you letter test’. When adding a present to your wedding list, imagine writing a thank-you letter to the guest who bought it. For example, ‘Thank you for the wooden spoon…’ It’s hard to make that sound sexy or exciting, but it’ll help you understand whether or not you really want it.

Another tip: take advantage of our extensive wedding list checklist. We've thought of everything you could possibly need. Start by crossing off the presents you know you don’t need or want – it’ll leave you with a clear idea of what you do.

Sarah Hutchinson Of Wedding Caterer Doggart & Squash Was A Real-Life Client Of The Wedding Company. She Says...

At Doggart & Squash, we’ve worked closely with The Wedding Present Company doing partnership events. We have always enjoyed coming into the showroom in a professional capacity, but it was even more exciting coming in as a couple to shop for our wedding gift list. I knew the girls would look after us well, and we weren’t disappointed.

The process started with a virtual appointment. They were brought in during the pandemic and are still available now. Our advisor created an inspiration board for us to look at during our appointment to get the ball rolling. We loved everything on the mood board – they got it spot on. We wanted pieces that would last forever and lots of it was food related, too. We also added presents for the garden to help us grow our vegetables and to cook on. We can’t wait to get our Kadai Fireball out this summer. It’s fantastic how many of the gifts ended up being so personal to us as a couple – it’s helped us get so much use out of them.

We loved The Wedding Present Company’s sustainable ethos of buying something once and enjoying it forever.

All the staff at The Wedding Present Company were brilliant – especially when it came to suggesting brands they thought we would like. We specifically asked for suggestions of smaller companies like Morgan Bellows, and we loved being introduced to The Vintage List. I also had my eye on getting some Le Creuset pieces and beautiful serving bowls. I love using Le Creuset to slow-cook shoulders of lamb, and making salsa verde and seasonal salads using the Robert Welch knives and our new Oak and Rope chopping board.

We loved The Wedding Present Company’s sustainable ethos of buying something once and enjoying it forever. It was so reassuring to know your guests would be buying us things we wouldn’t just use for a couple of years. The website is so easy for guests to use, and it’s simple to add bits to the list as the planning process continues. Our Wedding List Advisor was always on hand if we ever needed any help.

My advice to other couples would be: take your time. Have an appointment with your advisor, whether that’s in person or virtual – they have so much knowledge and can really guide you towards knowing what will work for you as a couple. Also, using a service like the one offered by The Wedding Present Company gives you so much peace of mind on the day. There’s no need to have a gift table or someone manning it all. Everything is taken care of.
