One of our favourite Australian brands has launched its second collection of bridal-inspired pieces – perfect for low-key ceremonies, honeymoons and more. Known for its feminine silhouettes, underpinned by an effortless sense of cool, there’s something to suit every taste and occasion in The Aisle Edit – from daring minis with oversized bows to subtle-but-sexy halter-neck tops. Plus, everything is made using 100% linen – a natural fibre that’s ideal for warmer climates and summer weddings.
FOR A GIRLS’ DAY OUT: The National Wedding Show
One of the UK’s biggest wedding shows returns to London ExCeL this spring, between 23rd-24th April, where future brides can meet a wide range of wedding suppliers from across the south-east. There’ll be plenty of wedding inspiration on offer – including full-scale runway shows, live interviews on the WedTalk stage and tailored advice on destination weddings and honeymoons. At the end of the day, we recommend relaxing with a glass of fizz at the Viktor & Rolf Champagne Bar. Those willing to shell out for the VIP experience can enjoy a complimentary drink, an exclusive goodie bag and reserved catwalk seats. Tickets cost £18.50 per adult – advance booking is essential.
FOR SHOW-STOPPING BRIDESMAID DRESSES: Rixo
Rixo has launched its second instalment of bridal and bridesmaid collections, alongside a beautiful editorial campaign. Comprising 16 bridal pieces, from suits to silk gowns and ten bridesmaid dresses, the collection embodies Rixo’s true vintage aesthetic, with plenty of its signature shapes reimagined for a bride in luxurious silks, jacquards and sequins. There are new shapes on offer, too – including the Vivian and Emilia – while the bridesmaids’ dresses come in a selection of colourways: icing sugar, blush poppies, steel blue daisy and navy polka dot.
FOR TIMELESS WEDDING JEWELLERY: Sophie Bille Brahe
Danish fine jewellery designer Sophie Bille Brahe has released a dedicated bridal collection, inspired by the tradition of love letters, offering a broad selection of wedding bands to pair with the brand’s existing engagement-style rings. As part of the lineup, you’ll find eight diamond styles to pair with Bille Brahe’s engagement rings, with each wedding band designed to form the perfect, harmonious coupling.
FOR BRIDAL PARTYWEAR: The Own Studio Mini Drop
The latest Own Studio mini drop is designed to meet demand for ‘9pm switch up’ party outfits from contemporary brides. The East London label has added four new pieces to its core collection: beautiful mix-and-match options include a sequin mini skirt and matching sequin crop top, along with a silk satin mini and matching silk shirt. “The party outfit is now as important as the main dress – so many women want to change their look and brides want the wedding wardrobe to extend beyond the ceremony,” explain co-founders Jess Kaye and Rosie Williams. “But they still want to be savvy about it, which is why they’re looking for pieces they can mix and match across the wedding weekend and afterwards, too.”
FOR STATIONERY: Papier x Temperley London
British designer Alice Temperley has collaborated with one of our favourite brands to come up with a concise and curated edit of wedding stationery. Drawing on the Temperley London archives and the intricate details of some of its most iconic dresses, the collection is split into three themes: Delft Blue, Bibi and Spring Rustic. A celebration of craftmanship and the English countryside, the pieces – which run from invitations to guest books – are decorated with whimsical bumblebees, intricate lace and romantic wildflowers, showcasing the modern elegance and sense of fantasy that Temperley’s garments are known for.
FOR INSPIRATION: Monique Lhuillier: Dreaming of Fashion and Glamour by Monique Lhuillier
Monique Lhuillier has been designing bridal wear since 1996 and this debut volume captures everything that has made her eponymous brand what it is today. Having now expanded into ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, accessories, and fragrances, the designer talks readers through some of her favourite pieces over the years: sequin-embellished tulle creations, elegant long-sleeved sheath gowns and luxurious couture wedding dresses – all of which embody Lhuillier's signature romanticism and modern point of view. With a host of celebrity fans including Emma Stone, Blake Lively, Gwyneth Paltrow and Reese Witherspoon, Lhuillier's dreamy designs will appeal to both fashion lovers and future brides-to-be.
