A NEW LOCATION: No. Fifty Cheyne

On the banks of the Thames in Chelsea, neighbourhood restaurant No. Fifty Cheyne has just acquired a wedding license. The beautiful space is perfect for a romantic ceremony, and can also be followed by a reception with exceptional food and wine. Ceremonies will take place in the beautiful drawing room and the reception can be hosted in one of several pretty dining spaces.

HEIRLOOM JEWELLERY: Loquet London

Loquet London have launched its first ever bridal collection – Something Blue – with three new designs: the Something Blue Locket, the Something Blue Heirloom Bracelet and the Mrs bridal charm. The standout piece for us is the locket – based on its best-selling Miasol locket and set with bright blue aquamarines and diamonds, it's handcrafted from yellow gold and set with a transparent faceted sapphire crystal façade.

DRAMATIC BRIDALWEAR: Oscar de la Renta

From beautiful floor-length romantic gowns with 3D floral applique, to a mini dress with an oversized shoulder bow, the new collection from creative directors Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia for Oscar de la Renta is both elegant and striking. A voluminous maxi tulle dress will certainly turn heads, but we also love the botanical mini with its cut-out back and long sleeves.

COOL BRIDAL PIECES: Zara

Zara’s bridalwear has somewhat slipped under the radar, but its silk bridal dress with lace trim and appliqué detail, pretty dressing gown and embroidered underwear are definitely worth a place in your bridal wardrobe. One of the standout pieces is a sexy satin underwired bridal bodysuit, made from soft lace and costing less than £30. Pieces start from just £17.99.

A BRIDAL SAMPLE SALE: Phillipa Lepley

More than 70 of Phillipa Lepley’s couture wedding dresses – previously used as samples in her showroom – will be on sale until the end of August. Some of the gowns are reduced to £3,000 – so this could be the time to pick up an incredible dress at a more affordable price. Each one has been handmade by Phillipa and her atelier team in London, and many will have one of her famous corsets inside. Brides buying sample dresses will also have the chance to add a personalised touch to a veil, such as a wedding date or their initials.
