Focusing not only on length, volume and a long-lasting wear, it also improves the overall health of your lashes too. If you’re someone who curls your lashes and puts them through a lot – be it with extensions, a stripping make-up remover or simply rubbing or pulling at them – this bonding formula is a no-brainer.
Plus, we love that this is the brand's first ever co-created mascara – meaning it was created in partnership with with three of Rimmel London’s Creator Crew. As huge beauty creators, they drew on both their Gen Z beauty wisdom and mascara needs, to help formulate this winning product.
THE FORMULA
Like we said, this mascara is all about growth and strengthening, so it makes sense that it's supercharged with the hero vitamin biotin. This improves the keratin levels and strength of the lashes to prevent lash fall out. Essential amino acids and Pro Vitamin B5 are also key ingredients, which strengthen and condition. Meanwhile, clover flower extract offers much-needed protection against environmental damage. Finally, the formula also aids in lashes' overall health and vitality. For example, it creates a protective seal – a bit like hydrating products do for the skin’s moisture barrier.
Aside from all the lash-loving goodness, the Wonderbond Mascara delivers great-looking results. Smudge-proof, flake-proof and clump free, it works hard to ensure your lashes look flawless and in place all day. Its formula is lightweight, so even with a couple coats it won’t drag down or add extra weight – something that can cause fallout. Plus, the formula is vegan and cruelty free, making it a winner for those with sensitive eyes.
THE WAND
Wonderbond’s volume boosting powers are only enhanced by its wand. Designed with a fluted shape, one end is thinner, meaning you can reach each lash – from the larger heavier ones to the smaller thinner ones which are harder to coat. When it comes to the bristles, they're tiny but hardworking. They grab hold of and coat each individual lash without causing any excess pressure in the process.
THE HACKS
When first giving the mascara a go, you may find it's a little wet compared to other mascaras. This is due to its innovative serum infusion (aka: all the brilliant ingredients we told you about earlier). So, to get the most from it, we recommend removing any excess product from the brush. Then apply the first coat to each eye. The best way to do this is by holding the precision brush against your lashes and extending it from root to tip repeatedly until you achieve your desired volume and length. Apply one coat for a natural look or 2-3 coats for bolder volume. You could even try the wiggle technique – sweeping the wand through your lashes side to side, right through to the ends.
