If you’ve not tried painting since school, this is your chance to get back into it. There are plenty of Sip ’n’ Paint events taking place all over London – and some are BYOB and BYOS (bring your own snacks). Our pick is Pinot + Picasso, which actually has studios all over the UK – including Brighton, Leeds and Liverpool – and hosts themed nights and cool pop-up events. Classes usually start from £20-£30.

LATE AT TATE

Tate Modern puts on a night of talks, workshops and live music and performances every couple of months. At the end of June, soul singer Celeste performed alongside works of the artist Anthony McCall. While the next event is yet to be announced, we guarantee it’ll be good. The events are always free, but attendance is on a first-come, first-served basis. Don’t forget to check out the Yoko Ono exhibition if budget allows – tickets are £22 or free for members.

On the bill this year are reimagined classics by Shakespeare like Much Ado About Nothing, Richard III, Antony & Cleopatra, The Taming Of The Shrew and The Comedy Of Errors.
