THE LOWDOWN

If you want to shake the winter blues, Summer House is back with a new season. The reality TV show landed on our screens back in 2017 when self-proclaimed bad boy Kyle decided to ditch NYC each weekend during the summer and head to a party house in the Hamptons. He rented an epic place in Montauk and invited a group of friends to hang out – and party – with him. While Kyle goes through love interests quicker than you can say ‘hot tub’, the group is rocked with scandal, lies, dating disasters and drama in bucket loads – and that was just season one.

Since then, we’ve seen the house’s revolving door welcome hopeless romantic Lindsay, ambitious go-getter Carl, girl next door Amanda and social media queen Page, as they hook up with their exes, head on disastrous dates and party it up, Hamptons style. Not to mention witness a few shock evictions along the way. Over the seasons, housemates have come and gone, but there are always rumours at the centre of the drama. Oh, and Kyle.

Despite what you might think, the housemates actually do work. And if they don’t; they can’t afford to keep up with the party lifestyle. Perhaps that makes it even more chaotic viewing; watching the group balance a 9-5 before jumping in a car to repeat their weekend of eat, sleep, rave and repeat. One thing’s for sure, one of the highlights is the season finale, hosted by reality TV kingpin Andy Cohen.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Summer should always be fun, and this year is no exception. Friendships are tested like never before in season seven as the housemates return for a summer of antics. The group have come a long way since they first met. Some couples are stronger than ever, others are on the rocks, and one is ready to put their relationship through the ultimate test – marriage. Meanwhile, a few housemates are ready to stir up old flames and others get called out for their shady behaviour.

But who really hooked up with each other and what lies will finally come to the surface? We’re looking forward to watching the drama between Lindsay and Danielle play out, Gabby telling some home truths and new cast member Kory taking the heat up a notch. Then there’s Paige, who’s trying to balance having the summer of her life while working on a long-distance relationship. We can’t predict what’ll happen next, but we’re excited to see it play out on screen.

WHO TO LOOK OUT FOR

Kyle: He might have ditched his bad boy reputation since marrying Amanda, but he’s still at centre of the drama. Oh, and he’s sporting a new mullet. We did *not* see that one coming!

Danielle: She’s hooked up with one of her friend’s exes and that certain someone is not happy. Awks.

Lindsay: Lindsay has had more arguments than we’ve had hot dinners, and that shows no sign of dissipating if the new season is anything to go by.

Paige: She's getting major style points from us this season but the perfect outfit isn't enough to keep drama away...

Amanda: Anyone who can keep up with Kyle’s antics deserves her own spin-off!

Gabby: She’s not afraid of ruffling a few feathers but we hope there’s love and happiness in store for our favourite fashion girl.
