Philippe Conticini’s XXL Croissant

First French pastry chef Philippe Conticini brought the viral US spiral stuffed pastry to London. Now, he’s created an XXL croissant ten times the size of a normal one. With endless layers of buttery, flaky pastry, it will set you back £25 but you could easily share it between six or seven people. For a special – and normal-sized – treat, we’d also recommend the Paris Brest which is filled with hazelnut praline spread.

Korean Milk Donuts at Greedy Cow Bakes

Female owned bakery Greedy Cow Bakes has racked up millions of views on TikTok, so it should come as no surprise that the Hackney bakery always has queues around the block. Just a short walk from Colombia Road, you’ll find a selection of huge donuts and OTT desserts. One of the best options on this list, its fluffy Korean milk donut filled with light-as-air whipped cream is delicious. Choose from flavours like vanilla, chocolate and passionfruit.

Ice-Cream Croissant at British Patagonia

Like the idea of next-level pastries from a Michelin-starred chef? British Patagonia is the destination bakery by Matias Barbat. The most popular item on the menu is his famous ice-cream croissants: soft serve poured into a cone made from pastry. Choose from various flavours (though we’ve heard the vanilla is best) followed by sticky sauce and toppings like pistachio crumbs.

Prada Caffè Cakes

Harrods recently opened the Prada Caffè on its ground floor. Until the end of the year, you can enjoy meals and afternoon tea surrounded by the café’s chic mint green interiors and black-and-white chequered flooring. Its aesthetically pleasing cakes have been doing the rounds on TikTok thanks to its chic design and glossy finish. Choose from hazelnut, pistachio, lemon and strawberry cakes decorated with the iconic Prada logo.

Pure indulgence at Italian Bear !! This place is quite expensive but I honestly NEEDED chocolate this day so I was totally satisfied 😂 🍰 The triple chocolate cake is drizzled in white, milk and dark chocolate and it’s sooooo chocolatey and delicious!! The cake is nice but deffo not the best I’ve had in London and it is quite a expensive but it certainly hits the chocolate cravings spot! (£8.70) 🍫 Like the cake, the triple chocolate hot chocolate is coated in the good stuff (and also quite pricey for a small one) Pick from milk, hazlenut or dark hot choc (its legit like drinking melted choc!) (from £6.40) 📍 Italian Bear Chocolate, Soho and Fitzrovia #londondessert #londondesserts #londondessertspots #tiktokdessert #londonchocolate #chocolatelondon #dessertslondon #londonhotchocolate #hotchocolatelondon #wheretoeatlondon #londonfoodblogger

Triple Chocolate Cake at Italian Bear Chocolate

Chocolate addicts, this one’s for you. Italian Bear Chocolate is one of the few late-night dessert spots in Soho. Diners queue up until 11pm for bubbling cups of hot chocolate and desserts like waffles and crepes with chocolate sauce. For a mega sugar fix, order the triple chocolate cake with hot white, milk and dark hot chocolate. Yum.

Richoux’s Cruffin

After a huge renovation Richoux reopened its doors last year on Piccadilly. Staying true to its French roots, chefs create simple and tasty dishes from seasonal produce. If you’ve ever walked past the restaurant, you’ll have noticed its famous cruffins in the windows – a hybrid between a croissant and muffin. Flavours change every day, but expect cruffins stuffed with strawberries and cream, chocolate and pistachio, and passionfruit.

Sushi Creps at Cocomelt London

Cocomelt London recently opened its doors on Soho’s Wardour Street. Offering a variety of crepes, waffles and patisserie treats, its stylish bakery is the perfect place for a catch up with the girls. We love the look of its ‘sushi’ crepes – thinly rolled pancakes filled with fruit and Oreos and dipped in hot chocolate sauce. Chopsticks are optional.

Boolay Crème Brûlée Crepes

Boolay at Seven Dials Market was one of the first bakeries to create a viral dessert with its crème brûlée crepes. Inspired by the famous French dessert, each one is freshly made to order then piped to the brim with flavoured creme patisserie before the sprinkling of sugar on top is torched for that signature caramelised sugar top. If crème brûlée isn’t your thing, you can also order the banoffee pie crepe.
