530 Trainers, £95 | New Balance

New Balance is easily my favourite trainer brand – you can always count on them to be cool but comfortable. I live in the 550s and 990v5s, so I’m ready to invest in another style. These 530s are another classic that will work with most of my wardrobe year-round.

Dunk Low Industrial Blue Sashiko Trainers, £109 | Nike

I’ve been eyeing up a couple of pairs of Nike Dunks and, as a girl who has never been that into dad trainers, I love the look of these. I’d wear them with slouchy jeans – I’m obsessed with the denim effect and contrast stitching.

XT-6 10th Trainers, £160 | Salomon

I'm a big fan of Salomons and this colourway is so cool. I've got them in white, and they managed to get muddy pretty quickly – so these will possibly be a wiser investment. They're really comfortable and work well with a wide range of looks.

Gel-1130 Leather & Mesh Trainers, £125 | Asics

I am partial to a chunky trainer. You could run in these (I don’t), but for me they will quickly become my running errands, going to festivals and general everyday shoes. I plan on wearing them with midi skirts and baby tees this summer.

Handball Spezial Leather-Trimmed Suede & Mesh Sneakers, £80 | Adidas Originals

While adidas Sambas aren't going anywhere, the Handball Spezials are a worthy alternative if you can’t get your hands on a pair. The leather-trimmed, suede and mesh design comes in the usual reliable colourways, but I love the pale yellow. I know I'll wear them all summer.

1906R Trainers, £149 | New Balance

My New Balance collection continues to grow and this pair is next on my list. The updated dad shoe silhouette is already a winner, but the silver overlay takes them to the next level. Think of them as white trainers with a twist – everyone needs them in their wardrobe.
