14 Great New Beauty Products Under £30

January is the perfect time to refresh your make-up bag and, with so many new launches and innovations, there’s plenty to overhaul your beauty routine. Here’s the pick of our favourite products, all for under £30.

All products on this page have been selected by our editorial team, however we may make commission on some products.

Beautiful Skin Radiant Concealer, £25 | Charlotte Tilbury

We all need a brightening concealer at this time of year and few beat Charlotte Tilbury’s latest. Created with varying undertones in mind, it works to neutralise redness and any unwanted sallowness. As for the coverage, it is smooth and creamy so you can layer it up and blend it out easily. Niacinamide, vitamin C, hyaluronic acid and vegan collagen combine to give a dewy finish that gives skin a plumper, bouncier quality.

Lamination Brow Gel, £23 | Amy Jean Brows

Fed up with wayward, wiry brows? This new gel will help tame unruly hairs. Created by Amy Jean (the unofficial brow queen of Australia), the formula is full of collagen to help strengthen your brow hairs and keep them smooth while setting your arches into shape. The clever, well-shaped brush really helps sculpt hairs and keeps them looking uniform. If you’re lucky enough to have dark hair, you’ll find this is all you need, but if you’re on the fairer side, follow up with a tinted brow gel on top, or just fill in sparse areas with a soft pencil.

Smart Essentials Face Palette, £20.99 | Kiko

There are so many good face palettes launching right now, but this is one of the best under £30. Housing powder bronzers, blushers and highlighters, you can swirl a big, fluffy brush over the shades and blend out onto your skin to define, sculpt and brighten your cheeks. You can also use the shades on your eyelids – the soft pinks and peach tones look youthful and fresh. The textures are easy to work with too – lightweight and finely milled, you’ll find they never crease or settle into fine lines.

Warm Wishes Effortless Bronzer, £25 | Rare Beauty

Formulated to create the illusion of better glow and healthier-looking skin, this oil-free stick offers a long-wear finish in several universally-flattering shades. You can glide the stick over bare skin or on top of foundation to add definition to the hollows of your cheeks, along the jawline and any other areas you want to warm up. The twist-up design makes it so easy to use, too.

Matte Liquid Lip, £26 | Estée Lauder

Estée Lauder’s new Liquid Lips are perfect if you’re after a long-lasting but non-drying texture. Full of hyaluronic acid and moringa butter, they cushion the lips with moisture, while providing a wash of colour that looks blurred and diffused. They set quickly but never feel tight or uncomfortable – and you can expect the colour to stay on for a full day. We love that they add a bit of shape to your lips too, without ever looking OTT. The shades ‘Cloud Nine’ and ‘Hot Fuse’ are our favourites for something wearable and suits-all.

Prime Lab 24H Pore Minimiser, £9.99 (was £11.99) | L’Oréal Paris

This new primer ticks all our boxes. It’s been designed to give skin a ‘blurred’ effect and you really don’t need a lot – use it on areas where you have enlarged pores or are prone to shine. Non-comedogenic, it’s lightweight with no tacky texture, so you’ll find make-up glides on top easily and locks in place with no movement. It comes in four different shades: pink for pores, red for dullness, white for a matte finish and green for reducing redness. Each one is impressive and gives skin a smoother-looking base, with or without any extra make-up on top.

Enhance & Define Lip Pencil, £19 | Lisa Eldridge

You can’t go wrong with these pencils. One of Lisa Eldridge’s most popular products, they have constantly received five-star reviews since launching. Why? They’re soft, velvety and the satin consistency feels so good on the lips. Plus, they really do enhance the shape of your mouth without looking unnatural. Apply them first thing and they’ll still be in the same position at the end of the day.

Lash2Brow, £28 | Trinny London

Four years in the making, this clever lash and brow duo is the perfect addition to your bag this year. Not only does it save space, it also provides impressive length and volume to your lashes with intense black pigments that give immediate impact – just a few coats will transform even the stubbiest of lashes. As for the tinted brow gel, this has a tiny-pronged brush that shapes your arches and mimics the appearance of natural-looking hairs. The shades available are realistic and never look too heavy.

Lip Comfort Oil, £21.50 | Clarins

For those who don’t like a matte lip, you’ll love these oils from Clarins. Its latest shade ‘Cherry’ is a soft red that looks more vivid in the tube than on the skin. Just a single sweep gives lips a healthy-looking flush, with a glossy effect that instantly enhances the shape of your mouth. Ingredients like plant and rose oils keep hydration locked in too – ideal for keeping in your handbag when you want to quickly, but subtly, elevate your look.

Longwear Cream Shadow Sticks, £25 | Beauty Pie

If you’re looking for ease in your make-up routine, these sticks are a no-brainer. Available in several eye-opening shades, they are malleable and smooth in texture, so you’ll find them easy to build up and mix, with pigment that’s seriously long-lasting. Scribble them over your lids and blend in with either your finger or a soft, fluffy brush. They instantly enhance with minimal fuss. We love ‘Fauna’ for a daytime look and ‘Beige Bombshell’ for some subtle shimmer that brightens and lifts.

Infused Cream Blush, £9.98 | Max Factor

Looking for a new cream blush? You can’t go wrong with this one from Max Factor. Easy to tap on just with your fingers, it has a sheer texture that can be layered up for more intensity. Once it is applied, you’ll find it sinks in fast, leaving behind a plumped, dewy sheen. Available in several shades, there’s something for every skin tone, too. Extra points for the added hyaluronic acid which keeps skin full of hydration.

Satin & Shimmer Duet Shadows, £24 | Rose Inc

These simple, yet impactful, duet shadows deserve a place in everyone’s make-up bag. Housing two shades that complement one another, you can buff these on with a brush, or sweep on the shades with your finger for a foolproof, subtle smokey eye. The colours are all a bit different – think plums, greens and coppers, all of which offer a more youthful, fresher alternative to black and give you a sophisticated way to play with colour. We love that they are refillable, too.

Satin Silk Longwear Foundation, £27 | Sculpted By Aimee

Sculpted by Aimee is a brand to have on your radar – we’re yet to find a launch we dislike, but this new foundation stands out. It gives full coverage with a light texture that skims the skin and never feels suffocating, thanks to ingredients like hyaluronic acid and vitamin E – both of which give it that silky, easy-to-blend feel. Just a small amount conceals everything from uneven tone, dark circles and thread veins, but best of all is the glow it gives. Expect a luminosity you don’t get with all foundations. We love that it’s fragrance-free too, meaning it never dries out your skin.

All Over Face & Eye Brush, £21 | Trish McEvoy

Every make-up bag needs a brush that does a bit of everything and this is one of the best for the price. Dual-ended, the larger side works to buff liquid, cream or powder products – think blusher, bronzer and concealer – while the smaller side is perfect for hugging your eye sockets. Made with Japanese nylon bristles – these are some of the softest available – it never tugs or pulls at your skin; you just get a really gentle glide.
