The Best New Beauty Launches
Deeptox Radiance Firming Serum, £85 | IRÄYE
New brand IRÄYE has been an instant hit with beauty insiders. A world first, its formulas activate lymphatic function topically to encourage better blood flow and cell turnover. The serum is especially popular – promising brighter, more sculpted and depuffed skin, it has a thin texture that instantly hydrates and smooths. It takes time to see results, but we were impressed with the visible improvement in our skin.

The Contour Eyeshadow Palette, £31 | Kevyn Aucoin
As we get older, softer but warming tones like taupe and brown are more flattering than black. It’s why we’re loving these new palettes from cult brand Kevyn Aucoin. Pairing matte and shimmer shades, every tone has been included for its wearability both at day and night. The textures of the shadows have a satin-y feel, meaning they are easy to blend, layer and amp up depending on the looks you want to create. Better still, as they are powders, you’ll find these palettes last you for months – if not years.

Revilit LED Light Tool, £82 | Skin Gym
This is the most effective LED tool we’ve tried at a more affordable price point. Featuring green, blue and red-light therapy, this multi-tasks and tackles several issues at once – including inflammation, dehydration, wrinkles and slackened skin. All you have to do is glide it around your face slowly when you have spare time. When used regularly – at least two or four times a week post-cleanse – you’ll begin to see that elasticity is improved, skin has a fresher look and a smoother, more even texture to boot. The key is to keep up application – upkeep is essential to see results.

Healthy Lash Tint, £25 | Honest Beauty
Sometimes just a hint of mascara is more flattering than full on drama. This one from Honest Beauty gives the effect of a lash tint, thanks to the small, well-shaped wand which reaches every single little hair for subtle, yet impactful, definition. We love that it’s full of nourishing ingredients – think castor oil and jojoba esters – which keep brittleness and dryness of lashes at bay. Expect a glossy, jet-black finish that looks expensive.

Retinol Fast Release Wrinkle-Reducing Night Serum, £68 | Kiehl’s
Yet to try retinol? Kiehl’s latest formula has been designed for newbies in mind. Gentle, it doesn’t aggravate but works hard to boost cell turnover for a smoother-looking surface. In fact, it’s said to get through 15 surface layers of skin for speedy results. The key is to build up gradually to allow your skin to adjust. Begin using once or twice a week before upping the ante as you progress. Apply it post-cleanse but pre-moisturiser for the best results. Regular use will give your skin a plumper, healthier-looking glow as well as better tone and texture.

The Beautiful Tint, £46 | Kjaer Weis
With an impressive shade range, this skin-loving tint provides just the right amount of coverage – enough to disguise uneven tone, but never too much that it looks caked or creased. It feels amazing on the skin as well, thanks to a blend of cocoa butter, moringa oil and plant extracts which lock in hydration and smooth uneven texture. At £44, it’s not cheap, but it’s worth it if you’re serious about coverage that goes the distance. You only need a small amount each time, so you’ll find it lasts you for months on end.

Bath Coconut Milk, £14 | Maude
If you enjoy taking baths, this coconut soak is a must-have. It has a soothing, comforting scent that fills up a room in seconds. As for the milk itself, it transforms your tub into a soothing oasis and leaves your skin silky-soft when you step out. The packaging is completely recyclable, too, so you never have any throwaway guilt.

Sheer Glow Colour Balm, £18 | Nude by Nature
These tinted balms are perfect for anyone wanting just a hint of something on their lips. Almond oil, mango butter and vitamin E offer silky hydration, while the colour payoff is seriously impressive. Available in softer, neutral tones, they’re ideal for daytime, while the slanted bullet cushions the lips and softly sculpts them for a fuller effect.

Eye Shade & Blend Brush Set, £7.15 (was £8.99) | Real Techniques
Whether you’re an eyeshadow novice or a total make-up pro, these brushes are so handy for ensuring your make-up is well-blended. It’s an affordable set, but the quality of the bristles would have you believe it’s high-end. There’s a brush for shadow blending, concealer and eyeliner as well as brow application. We also love how easy they are to clean with just soap and water.

Stick No.2, £23 | Loni Baur
Highlighter sticks are great for mature skin. Creamy and easy to blend, they provide skin with a subtle sheen in all the right places. We love this one from Loni which has minimal shimmer and a glossy finish that’s healthy and radiant looking. Apply it to the highest points of your face and blend with your fingers for a natural sheen. The argan oil texture means it glides and blends easily. Mix a little with powder eyeshadows too for a different effect.

Triple Bond Complex, £42 | Living Proof
We’ve always liked Living Proof’s products. Fuss-free, effective and always delivering on its promises, everything in its cult range just works. Its newest treatment is no exception. Designed to protect, repair, strengthen and improve your hair’s look and feel, it’s a leave-in treatment that activates with heat, making hair stronger over time. Post-shampoo and conditioner, towel dry your hair and then comb a pump or two of this through. Leave it to absorb for ten minutes, then blast it with a hairdryer. Immediately you’ll see strands are softer, smoother and more manageable. A must-try for those with frazzled, dry or damaged strands, but also those seeking better texture in general.

Sun Glow Bronzing Gel Powder, £85 | Sisley
Yes, this is expensive, but it’s worth it for the generously sized pot and lightweight, cream-gel texture. Velvety smooth, it blends seamlessly onto the face without clinging to dry patches or fine lines. It has light-reflecting pigments that boost a natural glow, too. One of the best products out there for softly sculpting and contouring mature skin – it’s totally foolproof.

Cleansing Balm For Dry Skin, £12.95 | No7
No7’s hydrating formula starts off as a balm but quickly turns to a luxe oil to melt away dirt and day-old make-up. It’s suitable for all skin types, but especially mature complexions that are on the drier side. That’s thanks to grapeseed oil which penetrates the skin and keeps it looking and feeling plump. We recommend warming this one up in your hands first, then massaging it all over for a quick cleanse. The satisfying texture makes it a joy to use, and it never feels too heavy or overbearing.

Natural Brow Shaper, £21.50 | Bobbi Brown
If unruly, wiry brows sound familiar, look to this new gel from Bobbi Brown. It uses coconut and castor oil to hydrate, while rice bran protein gives longer-lasting hold. As for the tint itself, it’s sheer, but easy to build upon for subtle yet sculpted definition. Use it in small, light-handed strokes to softly backcomb your brows – brush backwards against the hair-growth direction so it wraps around each hair for a fuller, fluffier look. Then take the brush back the other way to smooth everything out.

Crème Abricot Nail Cream, £26 | Dior
This is the one nail cream that’s repeatedly recommended by top manicurists. Now available in limited edition packaging, it’s chicer than ever but still has the same, best-selling formula. Rich in lanolin, glycerine and nourishing emollients, it has a satisfyingly luxe texture that makes light work of dryness and soothes ragged cuticles. A little goes a long way, too. Apply overnight and let it sink in while you sleep, massaging it in gently to promote a healthy glow. It’s a treat, but a worthy one for good-looking tips.
