Huckletree has memberships to suit every type of worker. ‘Light’ lets you head into any location for ten days a month; ‘Floating’ is made for hot desking; and ‘Resident’ sets you up with a dedicated desk. If you need something bigger or more private, there are studios and suites. Among five sites across London, and locations in Dublin and Manchester, the Westminster branch is the most impressive, with quiet zones, a reading room and a terrace for open-air yoga lessons. Working From_ at The Hoxton, Southwark

Regular readers will know we like The Hoxton hotels, so we’re drawn to the idea of a membership at the group’s coworking space in Southwark. Members can work in small meeting rooms, hot desking zones, at the Winter Garden ‘working lunch restaurant’ on the 12th floor, or on the outdoor terrace during the summer months. There are even cosy velvet daybeds if you need a power nap on your break. Members can also book early morning yoga classes and get priority booking to the hotel’s restaurants and guest rooms. As well as desk hopping and studio memberships (which offer a semi-private fixed desk) a ‘Side Hustler’ option allows access after 5.30pm on weekdays and at weekends.

Dean Street Works, Various Locations

From the team behind Soho House, Soho Works has five London locations and another five sites across the globe. Among the London sites, we love the beautifully designed Dean Street Works in ever-buzzy Soho. Soho House members and Soho Friends  can add one of three types of coworking access to their membership – ‘Lounge’, ‘Desk’ and ‘Office’ – all of which grant access to every Soho Works site. Lounge lets you hot desk flexibly, Desk secures you a dedicated desk with a storage locker, and Office gets you a private workspace. Set in a six-storey art deco building in Fitzrovia, Mortimer House is a great option if you want to entertain clients. Private studies seat five to ten people, and dedicated workspaces are located near windows for natural light and views while you work. Members also have access to the Living Room & Den where you can socialise during the week and switch off with cocktails during evenings and weekends, as well as a rooftop terrace and the main restaurant. If you need to get your head down, there’s also the Loft & Gallery on the penthouse floor with squishy sofas. LABS has campuses in Holborn and Camden. There are nine sites spread across the two, featuring some of the chicest interiors on this list. All the buildings have been created to flow into each other, with a vibe that feels like a cross between a Manhattan apartment and a NYC university campus. The Fisheries, Hackney

The Fisheries is a zero-carbon office space comprising 30 studios and 150 desks along with meeting rooms, a photography studio, a large events space and a podcast recording studio. Its sleek design ensures a relaxed working environment, with plenty of breakout spaces. A relaxed and easy-going workspace in a striking historic building, Tobacco Dock Workspaces is open 24/7 and is a solid option for anyone based out east. There are plenty of chillout spaces as well as a rooftop bar, Skylight, where you can carry on working, entertain clients or enjoy a drink. You can also head to Dock St Bar, a casual café serving discounted snacks and coffee all day. Tenants also get discounted gym membership at a selection of nearby fitness centres.
