THE EYE SERUM

Sarah Chapman AC+EYE

Sarah Chapman has just launched AC+EYE (£97.75, was £115), a next-generation eye serum designed to target some of the most persistent signs of ageing around the eyes, including deep-set lines, dark circles, puffiness and loss of firmness. At its heart is a high-potency combination of retinal and vitamin C, two notoriously difficult actives to stabilise together. They are paired with EGF Growth Factor and EGT Amino Acid to support renewal, collagen production and protection against oxidative stress, while remaining gentle enough for the delicate eye contour. The result is a brightening, smoothing and firming treatment designed to deliver visible correction from the first application.

THE EPIC ESCAPE

La Dolce Vita Orient Express

Few ways of seeing Italy feel more glamorous right now than on board La Dolce Vita Orient Express. Its growing collection of itineraries takes in everything from art and culture to fine dining, wine, golf and seasonal celebrations, with journeys ranging from a single day to five days. Board in Rome and travel to Venice for the day, with a three-Michelin-starred lunch by chef Heinz Beck or settle in for an overnight journey through Italy’s changing landscapes.

The longer routes head north towards Venice, Portofino and the vineyards of Piedmont or south towards Naples, Matera and Palermo in Sicily. Round trips, one-way journeys and shorter day itineraries offer plenty of choice, while curated excursions add depth at each stop. The Venice & Tuscany in Winter route is one example: a three-day, two-night round trip from Rome via Bolgheri, Venice and Florence that combines elegant dining, live music, beautiful scenery and time to explore these very different destinations. Other highlights include The Grand Tour, The Italian Wine Route and The Truffle Route.

Wherever you go, the journey is as important as the destination. The beautifully designed carriages, with smoked mirrored walls, brass finishes, sumptuous carpets and curtains, evoke the golden age of travel, while cabins and suites come with thoughtful modern comforts, including walk-in showers and underfloor heating. As evening falls, the train shifts from aperitivo and piano music to dinner, fine wine and late-night live music. It’s an experience that makes the pleasure of travelling slowly feel especially timely.

THE JEWELLERY PARTNERSHIP

Laura Jackson x Astley Clarke

British jewellery brand Astley Clarke has teamed up with broadcaster, creative entrepreneur and tastemaker Laura Jackson on Celestial Links. Inspired by meaningful connection, transformation and renewal, the collection combines richly coloured gemstones with sculptural links and modular designs made for personal layering. Celestial motifs and tarot archetypes add a subtle sense of symbolism, bringing Laura’s creative vision together with Astley Clarke’s contemporary approach to personalisation. At the heart of the collection are three gemstone pairings, each selected for its distinctive character and meaning: malachite and Dalmatian jasper represent transformation and joyful new beginnings; rhodochrosite and tiger’s eye embody resilience and emotional strength; while lapis lazuli and red jasper bring together wisdom and grounded confidence.

The Country Pub

The Mason’s Arms

Country Creatures founders Georgie and Sam Pearman have given The Mason’s Arms in Clanfield, near Bampton in Oxfordshire, a thoughtful new chapter, with eight bedrooms inspired by William Morris designs. Just a short walk from Kelmscott Manor, the source of William Morris's inspiration, the historic inn offers a chance to experience the landscape that shaped Morris’s work, with private curator-led tours available for guests.

Downstairs, three fireplaces sit within a maze of interconnected rooms, alongside blackened wall lamps made by a local blacksmith, chestnut leather banquettes, pitch-pine tables, upholstered armchairs and layered Kilim and Persian rugs. There’s also a hidden card room papered in William Morris’s Snakeshead and a feasting room behind heavy hessian curtains.

The menu focuses firmly on British pub food – think scotch eggs, cheese ploughman’s, whole crab with mayonnaise and bone marrow on toast. Longer lunches might include Ragstone rarebit with damson jam, prawn cocktail or white onion soup, followed by Cotswold half roast chicken, baked sole with brown crab butter or ox cheek pie and mash. Finish with the Mason’s Arms sticky toffee sundae.

The menu combines familiar brasserie favourites with British produce, all made in-house and guided by the seasons. There’s also a breakfast menu, from homemade croissants to galette complète, making Olivia a destination from morning through to dinner. This October, the experience will extend downstairs with the opening of Venus Bar, a festive, audiophile-inspired space for late drinks and private hire. Expect a playful yet sophisticated take on French dining, with a distinctly London setting and plenty of atmosphere.

Clinique La Prairie EPINOME

Clinique La Prairie Holistic Health has added EPINOME to its supplement line, a targeted formula designed to support cellular health, gene expression and longevity. Developed over three years with life sciences company Genknowme, the supplement draws on the clinic’s expertise in epigenetic testing and nutrient-driven gene regulation. THE NON-ALCOHOLIC APERITIF

Botivo Wintery Botanical Aperitivo

Botivo has bottled the festive season with its limited-edition Wintery Botanical Aperitivo. Combining warming date molasses with clove, allspice and vanilla, finished with a whisper of smoky saffron, the seasonal notes are infused into Botivo’s bittersweet base of British apple cider vinegar, gentian and wildflower honey, creating a rich, warming drink with plenty of character. Designed to evoke cosy evenings by the fire, crowded tables and the promise of one more drink, it’s made for festive entertaining. Serve it hot for a comforting winter warmer, pour it over ice or stir it into something stronger for a more celebratory serve. It’s Christmas in a glass, with a distinctly British botanical twist.

The Hand Treatment

Trinny London

Hands are often the last part of our skincare routine to get any real attention, so Trinny London’s new Take Back TimeOvernight Hand Transformation set is a welcome intervention. The two-step ritual combines a high-potency hand concentrate with a microneedle, designed to work while you sleep to restore the appearance of lost volume, smooth crepey texture and visibly reduce the look of dark spots. It’s a clever shift from daytime hand cream to a more targeted evening treatment, bringing the results-focused approach we’ve come to expect from facial skincare to an area that is often overlooked – without making it feel overly clinical.
