How To Do An All-Inclusive Holiday In Style

The seven Sandals Resorts island destinations showcase the best of the Caribbean, from waterfalls and palm forests to pristine white sandy beaches and striking sunsets. Guests can choose between Jamaica, Saint Lucia, Antigua, The Bahamas, Grenada, Barbados and Curaçao for their adults-only escape. If you’re considering booking a top all-inclusive trip away, here’s everything you need to know.

Created in partnership with Sandals Resorts

Sandals Resorts is a collection of luxury all-inclusive resorts based in the Caribbean. There are 17 beachfront resorts in total, each exclusively in the Caribbean on the islands of Jamaica, Saint Lucia, Antigua, The Bahamas, Grenada, Barbados and Curaҫao. Sandals has over 40 years of experience offering luxury all-inclusive holidays and has been voted the World’s Leading All-Inclusive Resorts at the World Travel Awards for the past 27 years in a row – so it’s safe to say you’re in good hands if you’re thinking about a Caribbean getaway.

The beauty of Sandals Resorts is that everything is included: there’s unlimited gourmet dining at up to 16 restaurants per resort, which serve food from around the world; unlimited drinks; land and water sports including scuba diving for certified divers and green fees for golf at selected resorts are included; there’s a roster of regular entertainment; plus there’s luxury accommodation, friendly service, round-trip airport transfers and more.

THE RESORTS

Each of the 17 resorts in the collection are adults only and designed for couples. But if you’re familiar with Sandals, there are two new resorts well worth knowing about. On the north coast of Jamaica, Sandals Dunn’s River resort offers a backdrop of rivers, forests and waterfalls. This secluded spot was hand-picked by the company’s founder for its pristine beach and its close distance to Jamaica’s natural wonders. Sandals Dunn’s River is home to Jamaica’s first Skypool Suites, the only one of its kind on the island. These suites are in a class of their own with a pool stretching across the length of the balcony, offering an impressive view of where the ocean meets the horizon. Another first of its kind, the Coyaba Sky Rondoval villas reinvent luxury, with an oversized swim-up pool and open-air terrace on top of each villa.

Sandals Royal Curaçao opened last summer on the exclusive, 3,000-acre Santa Barbara estate on the Dutch-influenced island of Curaçao – and it’s just 15 miles from Curaçao International Airport. Famous for its vibrant culture, pristine beaches and coves, Curaçao is home to 65 spectacular dive sites and exotic marine ecosystems, making it a great choice for adventurous couples. In a west-facing position on the southernmost part of the island, the estate combines nature with a full resort experience. It’s also perfectly placed for couples to capture one of the Caribbean’s most spectacular sunsets. Also new for Sandals is a fleet of stylish convertible Mini Coopers that guests in select room categories can use to explore the island.

With more QUALITY INCLUSIONS than any other all-inclusive resort, it's not hard to see why couples choose Sandals for a romantic getaway.

For a truly laid-back escape, some of the best resorts in the collection include Sandals Halcyon Beach on St Lucia and Sandals Grenada, which has waterfalls, tropical gardens and 257 beautiful rooms and suites spread over four villages, with select suites featuring private plunge pools. We suggest booking one of the SkyPool Suites, which have private infinity pools and butler service. For something more lowkey, opt for one of the Pink Gin Beachfront Rooms which come with a balcony or patio. Sandals South Coast is an all-beachfront all-inclusive resort in Jamaica. From floating bungalows to an overwater bar, Sandals South Coast brings guests closer than ever to the sea. Set on a two-mile stretch of Jamaica's south coast's most pristine white-sand beach and located within a 500-acre nature preserve, this spectacular seaside oasis features three distinctive European Villages.

Elsewhere, Sandals Grande Antigua is found on the island’s most famous beach, Dickenson Bay. It’s actually two resorts in one: the Caribbean Beachfront Village, a charming seaside garden filled with palms, and the all-suite Mediterranean Oceanview Village, which mixes European grandeur with the Caribbean hillsides. We love the look of the seaside rondovals at the Beachfront Village.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

With more quality inclusions than any other all-inclusive resort, it's not hard to see why couples choose Sandals for a romantic getaway. Guests can opt to spend their mornings floating in the infinity pool, choose from a range of five-star restaurants, sip on unlimited premium liquors or try their hand at a new water sport. With Sandals all-inclusive offering, there's no need to worry about tips, taxes or transfers, so you can relax and enjoy everything you’d expect from a luxury holiday in the Caribbean. Drinking & Dining

At Sandals, you’ll have access to as many as 23 different food and drink concepts – and will enjoy a level of variety, quality and creativity that’s unmatched anywhere in the Caribbean. Each restaurant is run by world-class chefs and a Culinary Concierge Desk is available to assist with any special dietary requirements. Each day, breakfast, lunch, dinner and anytime snacks are included. On the drinks front, there are six varieties of Robert Mondavi Twin Oaks wine to try; unlimited premium liquors; and drinks can be enjoyed anywhere from the swim-up pool bar to a traditional British pub or the well-stocked mini bars in every room.

Accommodation

Sandals’ suites offer guests a huge choice of places to stay during their trip. From bluff-top hideaways and private SkyPool suites to an exotic Rondoval suite-in-the-round or swim-up retreats, there are plenty of striking options at every resort which allow you to soak up the views and individual atmosphere of each venue. In most suites, you’ll find spacious and luxurious bathrooms featuring free-standing tubs and rain shower heads, plus every room comes with a Sandals Tranquility Blissful Bed, featuring premium king-size mattresses, fine linens and a pillow menu with hypoallergenic and feather down pillow choices. What’s more, many of the suites come with a dedicated butler. On some islands, guests can sleep in wood-panelled accommodation that gives way to a glass floor to make you feel like you’re sleeping on water; there are SkyPool Suites, which have private infinity pools and butler service; while at Sandals’ resort in the Bahamas, some of its new Crystal Lagoon Swim-up Suites come with butler service and – for an extra special touch – exclusive VIP airport transfers in either a Rolls-Royce or Mercedes-Benz. Now that’s what we call doing a holiday in style.
