The Tuck Company

If you’ve ever found the snack aisle lacking – either too babyish or full of sugar – The Tuck Company hits the ideal sweet spot. It was born after the founder’s seven-year-old declared his toddler snacks were ‘for babies’, while other options were full of additives or nuts – not ideal for school. A deep dive into ingredient labels revealed a gap in the market and The Tuck Company filled it with bars made from 100% natural ingredients, including gluten-free jumbo oats. They’re nut-free, school-safe and generously portioned to satisfy bigger appetites, with flavours that are genuinely appealing.

Kindy

If Montessori sounds more like a buzzword than a reality, Kindy offers a clear picture of how it works day-to-day. Founded by two parents, the brand creates real tools for children to take part in everyday routines – not just pretend. Think child-safe knives for chopping fruit, cereal organisers for self-serving and visual placements to guide table-setting. The philosophy is simple: when kids are empowered to do things for themselves, they often rise to the challenge – and daily life becomes smoother. Bonus – the products are beautifully minimal and designed to blend seamlessly into modern homes.

The Tenth At Home

Postpartum care is finally getting the rethink it deserves – and The Tenth remains at the forefront. Known for its ultra-luxury stays at the Mandarin Oriental, the brand is now bringing its expert-led, deeply nurturing philosophy into your home. Over three or seven days, everything is mapped out for you – chef-prepared meals designed specifically for postpartum recovery, daily sitz baths, belly binding and massage to support healing, plus reflexology and mental health support to ease the emotional crash that can follow birth. You’ll also have access to a lactation consultant and a midwife on call. It’s still a premium offering, but for parents who want to feel genuinely cared for in those early weeks, it’s worth every penny.

Notting Hill Club x Four Mamas

Four Mamas has partnered with the Notting Hill Club to launch a new series of maternal wellbeing retreats, offering modern, expert-led support in one of London’s most family-friendly settings. If NCT has ever felt a little outdated, consider this its evolved counterpart – less awkward small talk, more genuine connection and insight. Launching this month, the first retreat (24th January) blends calm, practical sessions on birth options, pelvic floor prep and hypnobirthing with nourishing food and restorative yoga. Groups are kept intentionally small (just 14 women), creating space for meaningful questions, honest sharing and community. Future retreats will explore pregnancy, early motherhood and beyond, with trusted input from sleep consultants, nutritionists and psychologists.

Lighthouse Social

Set on the Thames in Fulham, Lighthouse Social opened last summer but it's already drawing attention for rewriting the members’ club model. Its standout feature? Little Lighthouse – an on-site, Ofsted-approved creche for one-to six-year-olds that’s been designed with just as much thought as the adult spaces. The first London club to integrate high-quality childcare into its core offering, it allows parents to take meetings, enjoy lunch or catch up with friends, all while their children are close by and well cared for. The space itself is beautiful – light-filled and nature-led, with calm play areas, a starry reading nook and sweeping river views.

Different Journeys To Parenthood

For those navigating alternative paths to parenthood – or wanting to understand them better – this open and honest panel talk is worth attending. Hosted at Jesse’s House, it brings together Oli and Gareth Locke-Locke, who became parents through adoption, and Louenna Hood (aka Nanny Louenna), who has shared her own journey into motherhood via surrogacy. Between them, they offer rare first-hand insights into two routes that are often misunderstood or under-discussed. The evening is designed as an open, honest conversation about what adoption and surrogacy really involve – emotionally, practically and relationally – from navigating the early decision-making to building family life beyond it. Expect thoughtful discussion, shared experience and plenty of time for audience questions.

Whatever Sweats

Soft, stylish and built for real life, Whatever Sweats makes kids’ clothes that feel elevated without losing comfort. Founded by a former Harper’s Bazaar beauty director and mum of three boys under ten, the brand reflects a simple frustration: her children lived in hoodies and joggers but everything on offer felt either too juvenile or fell apart after a few spins in the wash. Her solution? A considered collection of super-soft sweats in calm, wearable colours and easy-going silhouettes that look polished, not slouchy. Designed to move with busy little bodies and still hold their shape, these are everyday staples with serious staying power. Following recent pop-ups – including a Harrods Christmas residency – its cult following is only growing.

The Hari

The Hari

The Hari’s new Mini Maestro Art Prize is one of the more exciting family launches on the cultural calendar. Open to children aged five to 16 from February 2026, it invites young artists to submit their work for the chance to win a family overnight stay, a curated selection of Phaidon Kids books and the rare opportunity to design the children’s menu at the hotel’s Italian restaurant, il Pampero. Judged by figures from publishing, education and culture, the prize builds on The Hari’s established art credentials while reinforcing its family-first ethos. It’s not about winning for the sake of it – it’s about showing children that their ideas and creativity have real value.

Periods: Everything You Need To Know

A refreshingly calm and factual guide to periods for children and tweens, this new book by Dr Emily MacDonagh strikes that rare balance of being medically accurate without being overwhelming. It covers everything from what actually happens in the body to practical questions around pain, products and what’s normal (and what isn’t). The illustrations are clear rather than cutesy, and the tone is inclusive and matter of fact, ideal for leaving around the house or dipping into together. A modern essential for starting conversations early and confidently.
