In The Know: Cool Things For Parents & Kids
HATCH
At a time when dedicated maternity shops have all but disappeared from the UK high street, HATCH’s arrival on the King’s Road feels genuinely exciting. Long revered in the US for its elevated, wear-forever maternity pieces, the brand has built a cult following around beautifully cut denim, intelligently designed dresses and understated essentials that work just as well postpartum as they do during pregnancy. The new London store is a dual-concept space shared with American childrenswear favourite Janie and Jack, creating a curated destination for women at every stage of motherhood.

Talm
French skincare brand Talm was founded by Kenza Keller during her first pregnancy, after struggling to find products she felt comfortable using – and wanted on her bathroom shelf. The result is a tightly edited range designed for before, during and after pregnancy, with certified organic, breastfeeding-friendly formulas. The cult Mega Oil is a firm favourite for improving skin elasticity and hydration, while the new refreshing eye patches are a welcome fix for tired, sleep-deprived eyes.

Ansandro Kids
Founded by two sisters from Liverpool, Ansandro Kids is the kind of brand parents wish they’d discovered sooner. Built around real life – from netball practice to after-school downtime – the brand champions premium activewear that doesn’t force children to choose between comfort and style. After a year spent refining fabric and fit, the result is a collection that’s wearable and made to last – think butter-soft leggings, oversized tees, relaxed sweatshirts and ribbed socks in confident colourways and easy mix-and-match sets.

Lion & The Pear
Finding children’s artwork that feels stylish, original and not overly saccharine can be surprisingly difficult – particularly for boys’ rooms – which is where Lion & The Pear comes in. Created by artist and mum Stephanie Breeze, the brand offers hand-drawn and painted prints inspired by nature, wildlife and storytelling. Soft earthy tones, warm neutrals, gentle greens and dusty blues give the collection a timeless quality, while the characters themselves are full of charm. Designed to grow with your child, these are pieces you won’t be itching to replace in a year’s time.

Veja x Jelly Mallow
Veja’s collaboration with Korean childrenswear label Jelly Mallow brings a playful twist to the brand’s classic sneaker. Leaning into this season’s trend for colour and metallics, the collection offers two standout styles – Bubble Pop, with soft pink suede and fruity accents; and Silver Mode, a bold, futuristic nod to Korean street style. As always with Veja, sustainability is a focus, with organic traced leather, Amazonian rubber and recycled materials used throughout. The result? Trainers that feel fun, fashion-forward and responsibly made.

CuddleCo
Anyone who’s spent hours feeding a newborn knows the sofa doesn’t always cut it. CuddleCo’s newly launched Etta Nursing Chair is designed for those moments when comfort really matters. Upholstered in neutral tones of cream, mushroom and beige, it has a cocooning feel, while the deep seat, supportive backrest and wide armrests take the pressure off tired shoulders and aching backs – particularly welcome in the early weeks or post C-section. Neat enough to fit into a nursery corner, it’s the kind of chair you’ll use for years – first for feeds, then for stories and wind-down time long after.

Ruggable
Ruggable has long been the go-to for stylish, family-proof rugs, so its first dedicated kids’ collection feels like a natural evolution. Designed to handle everything from pen marks to snack spills, the new range combines the brand’s signature washable practicality with fun, imagination-sparking designs. Across 24 styles, expect playful patchworks, retro florals and cheerful graphics in a palette that feels considered rather than cartoonish.

Cushy Puff
There are pregnancy pillows – and then there’s Cushy Puff. Designed with a clever microbead filling, it moulds gently around your bump, hips and knees, offering support where it’s needed without any bulk. Crucially, it holds its shape as you move, which makes a difference throughout the night, and the adjustable design means you can tailor the support to ease pelvic and lower-back tension as you reach the third trimester. It's also one of the few pregnancy pillows that feels design-led – thanks to candy-stripe and pastel jersey covers – and it’s versatile enough to keep using for nursing once baby’s here.

Sweaty Betty x Tiba + Marl
Every parent knows staying organised makes life easier – and this collaboration taps into exactly that. Tiba + Marl’s Elwood backpack and Inka buggy organiser have been refreshed in Sweaty Betty’s tonal Leopard Dot print, adding personality to two bestselling pieces. The backpack strikes the right balance between structure and space, with room for a laptop, nappies, spare clothes and snacks, plus internal sections that stop everything ending up in one place. The Inka organiser is just as useful – clipped to the buggy it keeps bottles, wipes and your phone within easy reach, then easily converts to a crossbody bag when you want to travel lighter.

Wheat
If you’re tired of logo-heavy children’s clothes and pieces that don’t survive the wash, Danish brand Wheat is worth knowing about. It specialises in well-made, easy layers in soft Scandi shades, and this season’s collection is particularly good – pastel teddy fleeces that work as lightweight layers on cooler days, floral rainwear with matching wellies, washed cotton knits that slot easily into everyday wardrobes, and baby bodysuits decorated with the brand’s hand-drawn prints inspired by Scandinavian nature. Keep an eye out for the summer drop too – we’re especially taken with the frilled swimsuits and rash vests.
