Habitat Kids Collection
Habitat has long been a go-to destination for affordable homeware and furniture, so we were excited to hear they’ve launched their first children’s collection. Available online and in store this month, there are three ranges to choose from, so you and your little ones can decide on a playful theme for their bedroom. Little adventurers will love the ‘Into the Wild’ edit (full of animals and bright pieces of furniture), while ‘Homespun’ and ‘Pop’ will add a touch of colour to the space. The line-up also includes bedframes, tables, chairs, and a selection of home accessories, like sweet lampshades and useful hanging baskets.
Headspace Back To School Collection
The Headspace app is a great resource, one which was created to boost mental health and wellbeing with mindfulness exercises, sleep sounds and meditations. Proven to reduce anxiety, stress and burnout, while also increasing focus and positivity, the team has now released a ‘Back to School’ series for children, parents and teachers. Kids can check in every day on the app to get ready for school with easy morning mindfulness exercises, while adults will benefit from the ‘Letting Go of Stress’ and ‘Moments Away from Kids’ audios. There are meditations for teachers, too, including in-between-class sessions to help boost concentration. Headspace costs £9.99 per month.
School Of Rock The Musical
Based on the family favourite with new music from Andrew Lloyd Webber, School of Rock the Musical is going on tour this autumn. Slacker and unconventional teacher Dewey Finn (Jake Sharp) turns a class of straight-A students into a riff-scorching rock band. As they prepare for the Battle of the Bands, can Dewey make them embrace the empowering message of rock and win the competition? With shows all over the UK – including Woking, Southend, Bradford, Northampton and Leeds – the nationwide tour will last a full year. Tickets start from £15pp.

The Baby Show
The Baby Show returns to Olympia London next month. Taking place from 22nd-24th October, the UK’s biggest pregnancy and parenting event will host over 200 exhibitors where you’ll be able to browse new products and family favourites for little ones and parents. Confirmed brands include Tommee Tippee, Bugaboo, Maxi-Cosi, Nuna, Stokke®, BabyBjörn and MAM, to name a few. There will also be information and advice available from a rage of parenting experts – on topics like sleep, birth and breastfeeding to first aid, weaning and development. Expect to hear from Rachel Fitz-Desorgher, Sarah Patel, Dr Will Dooley and Charlotte Stirling-Reed, among others. Tickets start from £16.

Pre- and post-natal PT Nicole Chapman has created a new online fitness platform where users can try out four 30-minute workouts per week. Each class is live streamed, and available on demand, to fit around busy parents, so you can work out when you have a moment to yourself. The workouts aim to power women with physical strength and boost mental wellbeing, via a gentle mix of weight and resistance training. There are also high-intensity cardio classes when you’re ready to get back to peak fitness and you can also book one-to-one session with Nicole at her Beaconsfield studio – ideal if you’re feeling ready to hit the gym again.

If you’re ready to switch to reusable nappies in a bid to be a bit eco-friendlier, A Little Yay! have a lovely range to choose from.
