Missing The Mark Podcast

Autism affects up to 2% of children in the UK, but many cases go undiagnosed for years. For children living with autism, it can affect their behaviour at school and how they interact with peers. In this new four-part podcast, author Eliza Fricker shares more about her experience, and that of others, to reveal how difficult it can be getting an autism diagnosis, what this means in the education system, and whether we find a better way. With the help of leading autism experts, Eliza explores the pressure to ‘fix’ children to fit in, and how many children are masking their true self to survive at school. She also looks at alternative ways to educate children who don’t thrive in the mainstream model.

ABC Pride

June is Pride Month, so what better time to teach little ones about the LGBTQ+ community? This new book features an A to Z to teach readers about the colourful world of Pride. Children can discover letters and words while also learning more about the LGBTQ+ community and how to be inclusive. Every letter of the alphabet is paired with fun illustrations, while a handy list of discussion points at the end gives adults the tools to spark further conversations.

Bebe & Tess SS22 Collection

Bebe & Tess has released a new summer collection. Regular readers will know we love the Italian brand’s sweet swimsuits and bikinis for girls, so we were pleased to see its signature pretty ruffles, stripes and floral prints are just as good again this season. We’ve got our eye on the striped pink swimsuits and matching two pieces but its summer dresses, bloomers and gingham rompers are also worth a look.

Nala’s Baby

Rapper and entrepreneur Krept (aka Casyo Johnson) and his partner Sasha Ellese have created the UK’s first natural and zero-rated clean skincare brand for little ones. Nala’s Baby, available exclusively in Boots from Monday 20th June, is ideal for kids with sensitive skin, as each product contains natural ingredients like oats, coconut, hibiscus, vitamin E, camomile, shea, aloe and lavender. The range includes a body wash and shampoo, bubble bath, conditioner, body lotion, night-time oil and body butter – all of which are super-gentle and moisturising.

Cloudsleeper Jetkids By Stokke

Scandi brand Stokke has created a new inflatable travel bed. Featuring a durable mattress made from nylon, it inflates in 60 seconds using an integrated pump and comes with a cosy mesh cover for extra comfort. We also like the length-side bumpers which prevents babies and toddlers from rolling off. In the morning, simply deflate it and reshape it into the packing cube, ready to be stored away.

Jurassic World Dominion

Lightyear isn’t the only blockbuster hitting the big screen this month. Jurassic World Dominion – the sixth and final film in the franchise – will be released on Friday 10th June. Four years after Isla Nublar has been destroyed, dinosaurs now live and hunt alongside humans around the world – and it’s causing major problems. The fragile balance will determine, once and for all, whether human beings remain the top predators on a planet they now share with history's most fearsome creatures. Original cast members Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum star alongside Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.

CBeebies At Alton Towers

There are three new attractions at CBeebies Land at Alton Towers. Little ones can play games and discover the worlds of Andy’s Adventures at Dinosaur Dig, JoJo & Gran Gran At Home, and Hey Duggee’s Big Adventure Badge. Kids can climb, slide and bounce their way through interactive, sensory play areas, become an archaeologist at the dinosaur digging ground, and help bake Gran Gran’s famous banana bread in the kitchen. There’s also a new CBeebies interactive bug trail and a live show with bunnies Bing and Flop.
