THE BAG: Porto Studio

If you’re looking for a ‘wear it with everything’ kind of evening bag this season, Porto Studio’s newly launched Pouch more than fits the bill. Available in a mini and a slightly larger size, it also comes in a variety of colours, with a slouchy silhouette ideal for weddings and nights out. Prices sit at $195 or $225 respectively, so the good news is they won’t break the bank, either.

THE CAFÉ: Spring To Go

Skye Gyngell has opened the doors to the first ever shop version of Spring, her popular restaurant at Somerset House. In Notting Hill, the store is a collaboration with celebrated florist Kitten Grayson Flowers and is filled with biodynamic produce from Fern Verrow farm in Herefordshire and Heckfield Home Farm in Hampshire. Alongside veggies, dairy and store-cupboard treats – such as pickles, cordials and vinegars – expect baked goods from the Spring team, a natural wine shop and a coffee counter.

THE FRAGRANCE: Boy Smells

Cool LA candle brand Boy Smells has launched its first fragrance. Cologne de Parfum is based on the brand’s signature candles, which combine masculine and feminine scents. Of the five fragrances in the collection, we love the sound of ‘Suede Pony’, which offers notes of brushed leather, amber hazelnut and violet.

THE MUSICIAN: St Vincent

We’ve loved Annie Clarke – aka St Vincent – for years, and her latest album Daddy’s Home is even better than we’d hoped for. Inspired by 70s America – something that’s also referenced in her new wavy blonde bob – this is set to be the sound of our summer. A US tour has just been announced – we’re keeping our fingers crossed she makes the UK her next stop-off.

THE PYJAMAS: Dora Larsen

Known for its distinctive colourful underwear, British lingerie brand Dora Larsen has now ventured into nightwear. Combining their signature colour-blocking aesthetic with pretty frills and puffed sleeves, the collection features three 100% organic and biodegradable cotton and linen designs – all of which are chic enough to be worn outside, too.

THE SUITE: Bryan O’Sullivan X Claridge’s

Claridge’s has unveiled a series of new suites designed by the award-winning Bryan O’Sullivan. The two ‘Mayfair’ suites celebrate the hotel’s signature art deco and Victorian architectural styles, reimagined in shades of pink, coral and mint green. The original scalloped fireplace, in pink marble and glass, inspired the concept and curves continue throughout – we especially love the look of the headboard.

THE RESTAURANT: Bar des Prés

Acclaimed French chef Cyril Lignac has launched his first international venture. Moving to Mayfair from Paris, he has put together a menu offering French and East Asian creations: think scallops with caramelised miso; and Cyril’s take on french toast – chocolate tart with vanilla and pecan praline mille-feuille. The wine list offers nearly 250 French bottles, and there’s a crackling cocktail list, which includes the ‘Mayfair Sour’: Yamazaki whisky, lemon juice, ginger syrup, coconut batida and tonka bean.

THE SWIMWEAR: Maygel Coronel

New to MATCHESFASHION, the fun and feminine designs from Colombian swimwear label Maygel Coronel have caught our attention. With ruching, ruffling and exaggerated sleeves, the pieces are playful – yet still practical – thanks to classic silhouettes.
