8 Denim Brands Worth Investing In

Jeans are one of the most-worn pieces in any woman’s wardrobe, so like a good biker jacket or blazer, getting your denim right pays off. If you’re keen to invest, there are myriad high end brands out there. Here are the ones we think are worth the money…

@7forallmankind

7 For All Mankind

LA-based 7 For All Mankind is one of the biggest denim brands in the world, with an impressive list of A-list fans including Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone and Kate Bosworth. Because the brand has been around for decades, expect a vast selection of washes and cuts, from boot cut and wide leg, to straight and skinny, as well as jackets and skirts.

@agolde

Agolde

Another LA-based denim brand, Agolde takes inspiration from vintage styles, and under the creative direction of Karen Phelps (formerly of Calvin Klein, J Brand and Levi’s), the iconic 90s brand is more sophisticated than ever. We love the straight leg ‘Lana’, made from 100% organic cotton.

@ropesofholland

Goldsign

Another brand with Karen Phelps at the helm, Goldsign’s styles have a simple, timeless appeal and are produced in small batches. The brand counts Kate Moss among its fans, as well as influencer Talisa Sutton.

J Brand

Founded in 2005 in, you guessed it, Los Angeles, J Brand’s designs channel a pared back, functional aesthetic, with an inclusive size range. Environmental impact is a huge consideration: last year the brand launched a sustainable capsule collection fronted by supermodel ambassador Elsa Hosk.

Mother

With its super soft fabrics and cool-girl attitude, Mother denim combines edgy elements like rips and embroidery with classic shapes, something which has earned it a true cult following. While we love the denim, the retro-inspired tees and jackets, too.

@frame

Frame

While manufactured in LA, Frame draws inspiration for its styles from Europe, channelling the French notion of ‘dressed up casual’. Shop everything from jeans to shorts, jumpsuits and mini skirts in myriad washes.

Re/Done

A favourite for countless influencers including Lucy Williams, Blanca Miro and Annemiek Kessels (AKA @modedamour), Re/Done offers a ‘lived-in’ look by taking pairs of vintage Levi’s jeans apart at the seams and repurposing the fabric in more contemporary designs.

@slvrlake.denim

SLVRLAKE

If you prefer your jeans classic and unfussy, check out LA-based SLVRLAKE. The brand forgoes distressing, rips and logos to create timeless shapes from slim to wide leg in a variety of chic washes.
