The same team behind popular Sant Francesc in Palma is currently restoring a historic 17th-century building. When complete, the interiors will be reminiscent of a grand summer house, featuring a simple, light design: picture rustic wooden beams and original stone contrasted with sleek furnishings and an eclectic collection of modern art by local and Spanish artists. Many of the 32 bedrooms will feature private patios and terraces, while the hotel’s signature suite will offer a private swimming pool and garden. Can Ferrereta will also be home to a Mediterranean restaurant serving seasonal dishes made with local produce, as well as two bars, a 25m swimming pool, gym and spa with a hammam and indoor pool.

Details are being kept under wraps, but we do know that – like its other destinations – the kitchen garden and restaurant will provide the focal point of the hotel: anything that can’t be supplied by the gardens will be sourced from the best producers within a 25-mile radius.
