7 New Paris Hotels To Know
Villa-des-Prés
One of the smartest new buildings in Saint-Germain, Villa-des-Prés is a sister property to Hôtel d’Aubusson. Designer Bruno Borrione has created some chic interiors across the 34 rooms and suites, with bespoke furniture, plush decorative accents and unique artwork in keeping with the area’s artistic roots. There are two top-floor apartments with great city views, but we like the look of the deluxe rooms which overlook the pretty patio. All come with the little luxuries you’d expect at a top hotel, including high-tech music systems and Diptyque toiletries. The best part? The hotel has one of the city’s best wellness spaces, featuring a marble indoor pool, steam room and sauna, relaxation areas, treatment rooms and a fitness suite.
Rooms from £380 per night.

1 Place Vendôme
Swiss jewellery house Chopard has opened an ultra-luxe hotel near the Tuileries Gardens. Set above the Chopard boutique, the hotel is housed in the brand’s 18th-century building with numerous protected features. Following a complex five-year renovation, nearly 30 rooms have been condensed to just ten suites and five rooms. All are individually designed and grand on various scales – Appartement Chopard has enough classical artwork to fill a small gallery and even its own hammam. Here, every request and whim will be catered to, from bespoke menus created by chef Boris Algarra to unique wellness treatments.

Hana
Between the majestic Opéra Garnier and Place de la Bourse, Hana is the newest five-star property in the Addresses Hotels collection. It blends the sophistication of the Belle Époque with Japanese minimalism, creating the atmosphere of a relaxed, striking home rather than a traditional hotel. As well as 26 bright and beautiful bedrooms and suites, there’s a spa-pool which focuses on Japanese rituals, and a striking restaurant and bar called Hanibi for Japanese-French dishes and drinks.
Rooms from £350 per night.

Le Grand Hôtel Cayré
Miiro is a new hospitality brand that is set to open three design-led hotels over the next two years: Borneta in Barcelona this summer, Templeton Garden in London early next year, and Le Grand Hôtel Cayré in July. Set in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés quarter, the Paris property will have 123 rooms and suites with simple but chic interiors, and a classic French brasserie and bar. Details are under wraps for now, but the location alone has piqued our interest.
Rooms from £312 per night.

Hotel Chateau D'Eau
Later this month, Parisian hotel group Touriste will open a property on Rue du Château d'Eau, near the Gard du Nord. Touriste’s founder Adrien Gloaguen has gained a reputation for giving interior designers their first hotel project breaks – from Luke Edward Hall’s Hotel Les Deux Gares to Beata Heuman’s Hôtel de la Boétie. This time, French design duo Necchi Architecture have transformed the seven-storey building, now home to 36 boutique rooms with glamorous interiors inspired by NYC’s 70s disco scene – think antique furniture and chequered tile bathrooms. The first floor has a bar and lounge which will double up as a breakfast room.
Rooms from £138 per night.

Hôtel des Grands Voyageurs
This is a sister to Hôtel Dame Des Arts, one of our favourite hotels in the city thanks to its rooftop bar offering 360° views across the city. Set in the Left Bank quarter of Saint-Placide, the 138-room hotel has been designed by Fabrizio Casiraghi, the award-winning designer behind Ftelia Beach Club in Mykonos (arguably the best spot on the island) and Experimental Chalet Verbier. This new property is inspired by the golden age of travel, with an enviable collection of art. Guests can dine at Grands Voyageurs, the transatlantic-inspired brasserie, and enjoy drinks at its late-night bar Poppy.
Rooms from £180 per night.
Bloom House Hotel & Spa
This affordable hotel near Montmartre feels fun and fresh compared to the city’s grand dames. With a contemporary beach club aesthetic, it is the latest project from the playful Wunder architecture group. Rattan and wicker furniture, modern artwork, and light and bright interiors give the property a Mediterranean feel, while the spa has an 18m swimming pool, two treatment cabins and a sauna. There’s even a compact but well-equipped gym. The restaurant is already a buzzy spot during evenings and weekend, when locals visit for brunch and creative cocktails.
Rooms from £131 per night.
