The LoveShine collection encompasses two textures and formulas – the Lipstick and the Candy Glaze. At £36 apiece, you may wonder what makes each one worth the investment – but ultimately, they tick a lot of boxes. The Lipstick
There are 16 Lipstick shades to choose from, and because most are designed to be universal, you’re bound to find something to suit. The high-shine formula hydrates dry lips with 24 hours, while added fig extract (that’s come straight from YSL's Ourika Community Garden) and nourishing oils keep them looking healthy and smooth over the long term.
The Candy Glaze
Think of this one a bit like a lip gloss in a stick – but without the tell-tale stickiness or thickness. A slightly subtler version of the lipstick, the skincare-infused formula has an almost jelly-like feel that melts over the lips for an undeniably glossy shine. Offering added plumping benefits, it’s supercharged with vitamin E, hyaluronic acid and pomegranate extract for instant hydration.

By now we’re sure you’ve seen that global powerhouse Dua Lipa is YSL’s new brand ambassador. When we sat down with the star earlier this month in Paris, she said: “I can’t leave the house without lipstick. Even if I wear no make-up at, I still put lipstick on as it always makes me feel put-together and more alive. The LoveShine Candy Glaze in colour 15 is my go-to, but I also love shade 44 – they’re both lovely versions of the perfect warm nude. Generally, I lean towards brown shades as they suit my skin tone best.”.

“Having tested the product for over a month now, I’m hooked. Anyone who knows me knows I love a lip product. Without gushing, this one has really stood out to me. Personally, I’ve only ever found a couple shades suit and complement my skin tone – as someone with brown skin, my natural upper and bottom lip colours differ, so it’s tricky to find something that works but still feels natural. But I've found several within the YSL LoveShine family. It’s hard to pick a favourite, but 122 is up there. It’s a burnt brick red with a more neutral base and brown undertones, while 15 is soft and subtle for every day. If you want a romantic red, go for 212.”
