The Best New Beauty Buys For October

Forget trawling the beauty aisles for new products – we’ve done the hard work for you. From a game-changing skincare formula to a lust-worthy highlighter palette, these are the latest beauty buys to snap up this month…

October has been an exciting month for new launches, with two of our favourite Stateside brands making the leap across the pond. Gwyneth Paltrow’s GOOP and Drunk Elephant – the latter being crowned the fastest-growing skincare brand in Sephora's history – are now both available in the UK, meaning ridiculous shipping charges are a thing of the past. We’ve been loving GOOP’s much-raved-about Detox Body Scrub and Drunk Elephant‘s cult C-Firma Day Serum. And speaking of new brands, we’ve also got our eye on purse-friendly The Inkey List (dubbed 2018’s answer to The Ordinary) and their glow-giving Glycolic Toner.

Innovative skincare is on our radar too, with Medik8’s Liquid Peptide Complex topping our wish list. This anti-ageing serum uses ground-breaking ‘drone technology’ to direct peptides deep into the skin where they’re needed most. Also here to make your life that bit easier this month is Nailfix & Chill’s Nail Polish Eraser Cream, a genius acetone-free cream that actually smells good; and Slip’s Silk Scrunchies, a kink-free hair tie solution that will make you wonder what you did without it.

We’re also over the moon about Le Labo’s latest fragrance (their first launch in three years – a musky vanilla scent ideal for winter); the comeback of Aveda’s iconic Cherry and Almond hair care range; and the follow up to Summer Fridays’ sell-out Jet Lag Mask, the Overtime Mask. Plus, as party season edges ever closer we’ll be restocking our makeup bags with MAC’s new Powder Kiss Lipsticks (matte and hydrating), Huda Beauty’s first concealer, and Hourglass’ latest highlighter palette.
