Anna Calvi – Hunted
Anna Calvi has reworked her last album Hunter, transforming it into Hunted. Revisiting the recordings, Calvi found they offered an intimate view of the songs’ initial intentions. Distilled to their bare essence – her masterful guitar playing and formidable vocals – Calvi asked Courtney Barnett, Joe Talbot of Idles, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Julia Holter to collaborate with her and further transform the songs. This is the stunning result.

Caribou – Suddenly
Dan Snaith – aka Caribou – has returned with his seventh studio album, a record about family and the changes we go though as those relationships evolve. Suddenly is the most surprising and unpredictable Caribou album to date: though it retains the trademark warmth and technicolour, the album is littered with swerves, samples and hooks. Fans of Jon Hopkins, Four Tet and Floating Points will love this.

Devonte Hynes – Queen & Slim Official Soundtrack
Songwriter, composer, director and visual artist Dev Hynes – best known as Blood Orange – has released the original motion picture score for Queen & Slim, the American romantic crime drama film follows two African-Americans on the run after killing a police officer in self-defence during a traffic stop. Experimental and haunting, this soundtrack showcases Hynes versatility perfectly.

New Dreams is the second record from singer, songwriter multi-instrumentalist Jófríður Ákadóttir, previously of Icelandic bands Samaris, Pascal Pinon and Gangly. The new album deals variously in heartbreak, gratitude, habits, intuition, delusions, innocence, loneliness and vulnerability. A beautiful listen.
