1611 Labs

This skincare brand really does stand out from the crowd. Founded by expert cosmetic scientist Amina Ajayi, the products are full of science-backed ingredients resulting in formulations that are proven to work. Amina has worked across product development, branding, marketing, quality control and legislation for some of the industry’s biggest brands, so you can expect the very best from this line-up of carefully curated products. From barrier repair serums to resurfacing treatments and nourishing oils – all of which aim to help you achieve your healthiest, happiest skin – there’s something for everyone. There’s also a personal consultancy programme to make sure you’re using the right products for your individual needs.

Cloon Keen

We’ve just discovered luxury handmade candle brand Cloon Kleen. Prices start from £45, but for that you get a large candle housed in a reusable jar with a scent that lasts for months. Created in Galway, Ireland, each candle is designed to evoke a sentiment or memory and is made from a sustainable wax that isn’t full of chemicals. There’s plenty to choose from, but we love ‘Antique Library’ for its leathery scent that immediately makes you feel cosy and warm. For something fresher, you can’t beat its ‘Fig Tree’ scent – green, nutty and never overpowering, it’s ideal for breathing life back into your home. Look out for its personal fragrances too, which have recently been reformulated for a new look and feel.

Eye of Horus

Created and designed in Byron Bay on the Aussie coast, luxury beauty brand Eye of Horus has finally dropped in the UK. Housed in refillable packaging, its products use a combination of vegan ingredients to hydrate and nourish skin. The Seven Seed Sacred Oil is one of our favourites because it does a bit of everything – whether you want to slick back your hair, boost your skin’s glow or refresh your make-up. The brand’s bestseller, however, is its Skin Tint Serum Foundation. With a creamy – but never heavy – consistency, it’s easy to apply and build up depending on the coverage you want. We love that it comes with added skin benefits – there’s vitamin E, ectoin, witch hazel and moringa oils inside to boost hydration and luminosity. Perfect for those who want a bare minimum effect from their base.

Commodity Fragrances

New-to-the-UK fragrance brand Commodity is a master of skin-like scents – think fresh, creamy and clean. The brand has cleverly woven Iso E Super – the same mysterious note Escentric Molecules 01 is so known for – into its bestselling scent ‘Paper’. It’s one of those notes you may not be able to pick up on yourself, but everyone will want to know what you’re wearing. Other scents in the range contain notes of milk, vanilla and marshmallow to continue the theme of sensuality and a personal, cosseting feel. At £120 a bottle, they’re an investment, but a worthwhile one.

Mirror Water

Mirror Water is the lifestyle brand that promotes self-care and indulgence. Founded by Estée Lalonde, the range is small but mighty with ingredients and fragrances that promise calm, clarity and therapeutic benefits. The SOAK Bath Salts is worth picking up. Full of minerals, they soften skin and restore moisture, while the scent of Canadian black spruce oil, vetiver, cedarwood and bergamot immediately clears your mind. As for the SMOOTH Body Oil, this absorbs nicely into damp skin post-shower, sealing in a layer of non-sticky hydration for days. Everything in the range is a real treat – which is what makes them great gifts, too.

MAKE Beauty

After a two-year hiatus, MAKE is back under new ownership with a slick line-up and seriously cool aesthetic. Containing all the essentials, the range is concise and carefully considered, offering five skincare products in total – all of which benefit from lab-engineered natural ingredients – and a handful of multipurpose make-up. For us, it’s the Cheek Tints – which provide the juiciest wash of colour – and the Succulent Skin Gel Cream that stand out. Everything is under £35, too.

Rudolph Care

This Copenhagen-based skin, sun and haircare brand has just landed at Oh My Cream and we can confirm it lives up to its hype. Boasting both a Nordic Ecolabel and a COSMOS-certified stamp of approval, the brand takes a sustainable approach by using organic, natural ingredients that never compromise on efficacy. Its award-winning Açai Facial Oil is a must-try for those looking for better glow and hydration, while its herbal haircare promises better strength and elasticity. We also love the Hint of Summer self-tanner, which lends a healthy, subtle gleam to both your face and body. Mix it with make-up or skincare for the most natural and seamless blend.
