FOR LVL (LASH LIFTS)

Head To: Lash Perfect Beauty Bar

Why We Rate It: Lash Perfect was one of the first to launch LVL treatments – a term which stands for ‘length, volume, lift’. The affordable price and attention to detail has since set it apart and the treatment itself only takes an hour to complete. That said, your eyes will have to be shut for the whole session – something worth noting if you have a restless tendency. A serum will be applied to your lashes to strengthen them from the root and give them a curled effect that lasts for six to eight weeks. After that, the technician will apply a tint for extra intensity. Great before holidays or any time when you don’t want to be bothered with make-up. All the traditional lash offerings are available too – including extensions and tints.

FOR LASH EXTENSIONS

Head To: EDY London

Why We Rate It: Founded by Edyta Kurowska, EDY London used to be a bit of an insider secret – loved by the likes of Trinny Woodall and Lisa Snowdon. The menu is vast, though lash extensions are what it’s known for. Kurowska’s signature style means your lashes will never be extended by more than 2mm, so you can guarantee a look that isn’t too OTT. Each lash is treated to match your individual features, with a thickness and curl that’s tailored to you. Black extensions are the most popular, with brown available for those wanting a subtler effect. You can even ask for navy if you want to enhance the colour of your eyes.

FOR RUSSIAN LASHES

Head To: Daxita Veghela

Why We Rate Her: Sometimes referred to as ‘London’s lash queen’ Daxita has more than 30 years of experience – which explains why she’s the go-to for beauty gurus like Caroline Hirons and Charlotte Tilbury. Offering everything from bespoke lash lifting to extensions, she also specialises in Russian lashes – synthetic lashes that are applied to individual natural hairs in a fan-like fashion for an eye-widening effect. Expect a thorough consultation before any treatment, so you can be sure you’ll get exactly what you want. If you can’t book in with Daxita herself, the rest of the team are trained to the same high standard.

FOR STRENGTHENING TREATMENTS

Head To: The Clinic at Holland Park

Why We Rate It: The Clinic at Holland Park is pure luxury and offers a full menu of brow and lash treatments, including eyelash extension removal, tints and LVL with industry expert Jin Kim. Everything is taken into account – from your face and eye shape – to determine the best results. They’ve recently added ‘Eyelash Treatment’ to the menu, too. This is where ‘Bimatoprost’ (also known as Lumigan) is applied to lashes to help strengthen them and promote growth. The clinical trials are impressive, with results showing that, when applied correctly, lashes were 25% longer, 106% thicker and 18% darker. Ideal if you have short, stubby or naturally fair lashes.

You can get natural yet defined lash tints, carefully chosen extensions, or try the popular Lash Curl & Lift. FOR LASH PERMS

Head To: Harrods Hair & Beauty

Why We Rate It: You can find numerous beauty treatments – including lashes and brows – at Harrods. In fact, the YUMI Lash Perm is the store’s most requested treatment. Designed to give eyes a natural, opening effect, it promises to increase the height, density and curl of your lashes. You can also have a tint applied or just opt for the extra volume – everything is based on your individual features. There’s also a lash extension bar where you have a full set applied in an hour or less.
