This is partly because they maintain their impact as they wear, whereas lighter or more neutral shades can show subtle changes or wear a little more easily. Avoid letting chemicals and cleaning products come into contact with your nails as these can dull the shine and affect the polish. Even things like fragrance can gradually take away some of that glossy finish. For traditional polish, I’d recommend applying a fresh layer of top coat every couple of days to keep the nails looking fresh, glossy and protected for longer.” – Saskia
