Lash Idôle Mascara, £19.20 (was £24) | Lancôme

“I am not blessed with the longest or fullest of lashes, so it can be hard to get the volume and length I need from a mascara. I’ve gone through many, but Lancôme’s Lash Idôle is the only one that coats every single lash. It gives an incredible fanned-out effect, without ever clumping. The mascara wand has 125 bristle sizes and 360 micro-bristles, so it really doesn’t miss a single one. Meanwhile, the gel emulsion offers a feather-light feel and lasts for a full 24 hours. I love it – and I rarely say that about mascaras.”

Iconic Overcurl Mascara, £29 | Dior

“Being asked to pick my favourite mascara is a tough one. I love different formulas for different days, depending on whether I want a school-run-ready subtle flutter or XXL lashes. If pushed, I’d have to say Dior’s DiorShow Iconic Overcurl Mascara. It’s one I’ve gone back to time and again. Not only does it constantly deliver on curl power, volume and length, it doesn’t require layers and layers to get there. The fluffy, curved brush means one swipe is usually enough.”

Better Than Sex Mascara, £24 | Too Faced

“This has been my go-to mascara for years – I’ve never deviated because it’s so good. Though it’s known for creating a dramatic effect, it can be layered on lightly for daytime. It gives a great lift but never feels too thick or heavy on the lashes. I love that it works hard to curl and define, holding it there until the day is done. Even better, it’s not too harsh, which is great for my sensitive eyes. Most importantly, it’s not a pain to remove – it comes off easily with a gentle cleanser.”

Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara, £11.49 | Maybelline

“We’ve spoken about this mascara at length on SheerLuxe, and for good reason. An internet sensation (it went viral on TikTok and Instagram) it lives up to the hype and it’s affordable. It thickens and lengthens lashes with just one coat, while the clever, flexible wand picks up even the tiniest of lashes at the inner and outer corners for a full, fluttery look. You can dial it back too, and just use the wand to go for a subtler effect – it’s so versatile. I love that the formula contains bamboo extract to condition and hydrate your lashes. I always have a couple on the go, so I’m never without. It’s easily one of the best mascaras I’ve ever tried.”

So Volume Mascara, £49 | Sisley-Paris

“I’ve tried a lot of mascaras in my career, but this is my favourite. It is so gentle on the lashes, making it another good one for sensitive eyes. It gives the best volume with the deepest colour for seriously inky definition. My fine, fair lashes look incredible with this on – as do my clients. It’s never failed me on models walking the runway, or A-listers heading to the red carpet. No smudging, fuss-free and long-lasting – in short, it ticks all the boxes.”
