The Denim Range
Luxury eco womenswear brand Bite Studios has launched its first denim capsule collection, comprising three different styles: a slim, a wide leg and a straight cut jean. It marks Bite’s first collaboration with sustainable denim pioneers Nudie Jeans Co, using the highest quality fabrics from sustainable manufacturers Isko and Candiani. Each pair is made from double-certified organic cotton. Prices start at £250 and the range is available to buy at NET-A-PORTER
The Luxury Resale Platform
NET-A-PORTER has launched its first luxury resale platform, allowing customers to embrace a more circular approach to fashion when it comes time to clear out their wardrobes. It allows you to sell unwanted clothes, jewellery, bags and more in exchange for cash or store credit. You just arrange the collection and they’ll do the rest – including the photography, listing and pricing.
The Rental Pop Up
Ever thought about renting a bag but want to see it IRL first? Accessories-only rental platform Cocoon Club has opened its first pop-up concession in Harvey Nichols, giving shoppers the opportunity to try on new-season bags from the likes of Bottega Veneta, Gucci and Prada before renting them for a monthly subscription fee – which starts from as little as £39.
Just in time for party season, Rixo has launched an exclusive partnership with rental platform Rotaro, meaning some of its most-loved dresses are now available to rent for as little as £25 across a variety of sizes. The collaboration will continue for six months, so if you’ve got any winter weddings in the diary, you’re bound to find plenty of options here.
The Winter Coat
Riley Studio has released its first puffer jacket, made from recycled nylon and dyed with natural food waste. While it might not sound the most appealing, dying fabrics with recycled onion skins and rice husks stops harmful chemicals from polluting the environment, and the jacket has also been treated with fluorocarbon-free water repellent to make it shower proof. Better still, the cosy inner down filling is made from recycled plastic bottles taken from landfill.
The Online Marketplace
Launched in September 2020, Talia Collective hosts a variety of different eco-friendly fashion labels, including Arkitaip, Carolina de Barros and Essen, to show that sustainability needn’t be all about restraint and sacrifice – and can be fun instead. A great resource if you’re looking to build more sustainable shopping habits but aren’t sure where to start.
