THE POP UP:

Lone Design Club X Fenwick

The Lone Design Club showcases sustainable and conscious brands by hosting interactive workshops, meet-the-maker sessions and roundtable discussions. Through its collaboration with Fenwick, it’s hoping to provide a platform for emerging, sustainable brands that may otherwise be overlooked, including Hairy Mary, Anaphe and Serena Days. Keep an eye out for events that are hosted throughout the year, too, exploring a range of creative sustainability initiatives.

THE KNITWEAR BRAND:

OMHU

OMHU is a Danish brand, but its production arm is based in Britain, and it uses low environmental impact materials – including Icelandic and British wools – to curate long-lasting, comfortable and chic pieces. Icelandic wool retains a unique durable quality as it’s resisted years of sub-arctic temperatures, making the pieces a long-term investment. From button down vests to turtlenecks and bib style sweaters, OMHU pieces are stylish yet functional.

THE HIGH-STREET INITIATIVE:

H&M Pre-Loved

H&M has been at the forefront of the high-street’s commitment to sustainability for years thanks to its garment collection programme, and now it's launched a new in-store initiative. From 5th October, the London Regent Street outpost will offer a range of pre-loved denim, dresses and other pieces from previous collaborations with up to 90% OFF the original retail price. The goal? To close the loop of reusing and recycling and thereby reduce the number of items going to landfill and excessive water waste.

THE DRESS BRAND:

The Meaning Well

The Meaning Well is a sustainable brand that believes wholeheartedly that ‘less is more’. That’s why it offers luxurious collections with pieces made from upcycled and forgotten fabrics. By using deadstock fabrics that would be otherwise be sent to landfill, it creates elegant skirts and dresses that can be styled casually with a pair of ballet flats or dressed up with heels and a statement bag at night.

THE DENIM BRAND:

7 For All Mankind

Aiming to make 80% of its products sustainable by the end of 2023, denim brand 7 For All Mankind creates stylish and comfortable jeans for both women and men. Offering numerous styles in varying levels of stretch, softness and weight, it hopes to combine vintage aesthetics with maximum comfort. For example, the Lustre style is derived from renewable wood sources – hence why the fabric is rigid but still soft to the touch, offering both durability and breathability. Now, the brand has introduced a new global initiative – Better for all Mankind – which means it’ll introduce new sustainable products to every collection that drops.

 THE JEWELLERY BRAND:

By Pariah

Jewellery brand By Pariah is inspired by parts of the Caribbean, and its abundance of raw and untouched natural materials. The brand uses 100% recycled 14K gold and sterling silver in all of its pieces and the latest collection combines elegance with simplicity, resulting in pieces like the Yellow Gold & Green Amethyst Orbit Ring. Along with the Vermeil Luna earrings, it’s the perfect combination to elevate an all-black look.

THE RENTAL BRAND:

Perfect Moment

Not only is ski wear expensive, it’s also seasonal and only gets used a handful of times. However, Luxury Swiss brand Perfect Moment has now made a selection of its pieces available to rent across platforms including HURR, ByRotation and Matches Rental – marking a far more environmentally and financially conscious turn in the brand’s history. From houndstooth jackets and jumpers to white ski suits there’s a wide range of designs and pieces to choose from.

THE COLLABORATION:

Penelope Chilvers X Bay Garnett

Penelope Chilvers has joined forces with fashion stylist and creative director Bay Garnett – otherwise known as the ‘Queen of Thrift’. To honour Bay’s conscious approach to fashion, the ‘King’s Road Collection’ makes use of sustainably sourced Spanish leather to create long-lasting leather boots, including the biker styles that pay homage to the British punk and rock ‘n’ roll eras.
