How To Wear Knee-High Boots

The knee-high has been big business this autumn, but unlike its safer sister (that’s the ankle boot, if you’re wondering) the knee-high often gets a bad rep… This season has proved it can look chic, pared back and enviably stylish. Here are three ways to work it.

Look 1

Reference Biba and Ossie Clark with a 70s-inspired wrap dress. Throw over a chunky knit and pair with contemporary jewels to keep things modern.

Look 2

Pair Zara’s slouchy pair with a metallic pleated skirt to show just a hint of knee when you sit. Layering is the key to getting this look right, so add a knitted sweater, faux fur and chunky gold jewels.

Look 3

Proving the knee-high’s versatility, pair with skinny denim, boyish coats and fine knits for a relaxed feel. Stick to monochrome to pull the whole look together.

Best of the Rest
