Since I work for myself, most days consist of running errands, working in a coffee shop, attending press appointments and going to meetings. For days like that, this is one of my go-to outfits. This Frankie Shop coat is a piece I wear all the time – in fact I have it in two colours. I love the oversized silhouette.

For Paris Fashion Week I wanted to wear something that felt true to my style, but elevated. I like wide, baggy jeans and I’m all about comfortable footwear – like adidas Sambas. If you go for something baggier on the bottom, it’s better to add a bit of structure on top to balance things out. Here, I’d usually go for an oversized shirt with the collar tucked in and a knitted vest over the top to create some structure.

Khaki is a great alternative to blue denim. I love these wide-leg trousers from Me + Em because they feel smarter but are also easy to dress down. I’ve worn them here with ballet flats and a leather belt – plus, a black vest top is a wardrobe staple and helps the outfit feel classic. Complete the look with a khaki denim jacket.

A simple way to elevate an outfit is to add layers and texture. This look is quite simple but, by switching out more traditional trousers for this crochet pair and adding a padded scarf, it lends extra interest to the oversized white shirt.

When I’m travelling, I pack pieces I can wear multiple ways. For example, long dresses can easily double up as a maxi skirt. A leather jacket is also a great transitional item.

I love a two piece – mainly because you don't have to think too hard about it. I wear one a lot in the summer. I often team this set with brown leather sandals and a brown shoulder bag – simple but you always look put together.

Linen isn't just for summer holidays. This white waistcoat and trouser set works just as well for hot days in the city when you want something easy and lightweight. I love giving it a pop of colour and the Prada bag adds a bit of fun to an otherwise simple outfit.

Even if you’re not usually a skirt girl, consider a black maxi skirt as a versatile piece to add to your wardrobe. You can wear it with trainers, socks and sandals in the summer, or even a small heel for an evening out. When I'm a bit stuck about what to wear – be it for meeting friends or casual work meetings – I wear this with a jumper (on cooler days) and my favourite bag. It’s casual dressing at its best.
