A designer brand I'm loving right now is By Malene Birger. It’s stylish, detailed and I like the fact that everything in the collection is easy to mix and match. It also has the most beautiful dresses – many of which I’ve worn to several events this summer. I always feel elegantly when I wear the clothes and the quality is evident.
The Frankie Shop has been a long-time favourite. It’s great for adding a bit of cool street style edge to my wardrobe. I particularly love the oversized pieces – I find they can be styled in so many different ways.
COS is the one high street brand I always rely on. I’ve found some of my favourite pieces there this summer. Among them is a long white skirt that I often wear with a simple white t-shirt and a pair of Sambas – a comfortable yet stylish look.
I’ve tried to wear more long dresses this summer. Because I prefer a less formal look, I wear them with my favourite Prada sandals or my Maison Margiela shoes. It’s a simple combination which always makes me feel ready for whatever the day brings.
My daily go-to look is a blazer, a long dress or skirt, and sometimes men’s trousers with a tank top. I find it’s a versatile combination that works with my busy life as a mother of two boys – I’m always juggling work and content creation.
When I need something new for my wardrobe, I can usually find it at STOY, The Frankie Shop, By Malene Birger, Mark Tan, vintage store Jerome, ACNE Studios, Brigitte Herskind and Voo Store. The one thing I don’t feel like I have to spend a lot of money on is swimwear as it doesn’t tend to last that long. I usually end up with a bikini from H&M or a swimsuit from Operà Sport each season. This summer, I’ve just been wearing a cool pair of boxers to the beach or pool as a cover-up.
A good face cream is essential. I use one from a French brand called Filorga but aside from that I like to keep my skincare routine quite simple. I also swear by a mist from WOODS or Tromborg, and of course, sun protection – a must year-round.
I wear very little make-up but I’ve recently taken to using gel to shape my eyebrows. I find it makes a huge difference – in fact, I’d go as far to say my brows have never looked better. Zarko Beauty by Oli is my go-to – the same brand does a great mascara, too.
My signature fragrance right now is Prada Paradoxe. It has the most beautiful scent – light, summery and floral, too. Another long-term favourite has been Narciso Rodriguez Cristal. It’s perfect for everyday, but works for a night out, too.
Paris is one of my favourite cities – it’s beautiful, the food is great and the architecture is so charming. Last time I went with my husband, we also visited the Champagne region in France, which was so much fun and really interesting.
This summer we're enjoying time as a family in Rome. We also visited Lerici and Tuscany while we were in Italy. In about three weeks’ time, I’m going to Berlin with my husband to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Berlin is somewhere my husband and I know so well. When we arrive, we instantly relax and soak up the atmosphere. We have a few favourite spots we always visit, like the Voo Store for shopping, or Yosoy for tapas. I also love Neumanns for breakfast – but we also discover somewhere new each time.
My staycation hotel of choice is Langhoff og Juul Hotel. It’s wonderful – right by the water, with delicious food and a relaxed atmosphere. After a dip in the sea, you can enjoy the sauna with a cold beer.
For a bit of wanderlust, I recommend following @HannaMW and @SophiaRoe. I just love the way they curate their content – it feels authentic and like a natural presentation of what they’re doing. I also enjoy Jen Ceballos of @EndlesslyLoveClub.
FOOD & DRINK
When I’m at home, I always start the day with yoghurt, fresh fruit and almonds. When I’m on-the go, I try to bring rye bread with cheese or avocado along with me, which I’ll have with eggs. I get my daily caffeine hit from a simple americano.
My favourite thing to cook at home is a simple but delicious pasta with meat sauce, paired with plenty of red wine – it’s perfect for family gatherings. If I’m entertaining, I love preparing tapas with good cheeses, pesto, sardines, tasty salads. My go-to drink is always white wine or champagne.
Instagram is the app I couldn’t live without. But I also use UNUM to set up my posts, and I’m obsessed with my health app, Spotify, YR for the weather, and of course, the Find My iPhone function. I have a Danish Radio news app on there too, which I use to stay up to date.
When it comes to interiors and home inspiration my favourite accounts to follow include Florence Cools, Projekt 44 and Katarina Petrovic. I also love following Stephanie Broek, Ellen Claesson and Olja Ryzevski for style.
The most recent exhibition I visited was the Miró-Picasso exhibition in Barcelona, it features work by Joan Miró and Pablo Picasso. I just loved everything about it – both the art and the architecture.
The series I am currently watching is And Just Like That. Whenever I’m done travelling, I look forward to catching up on the new episodes. I also just finished watching a series about a Swedish family buying and renovating a small and very old Palazzio in Sicily.
The song I’ve played the most this summer is Texas Sun by Khruangbin and Leon Bridges – it is my favourite track right now, so I’m playing it on repeat.
