Everything This Stylish Influencer Is Loving
*The Fashion Favourites*
Everyone’s talking about By Malene Birger and Magda Butrym this season. People are loving Magda’s romantic, glamorous and feminine style and By Malene Birger’s bold, timeless and modern aesthetic. Together, these brands really encapsulate my personal style. Stylein and One & Other are my go-tos for chic basics, and on the high street I like COS and Jeanerica.
*The Trend*
Floral accessories are big news right now. I don't typically follow trends, but this one has caught my eye. From dresses to accessories, 3D flowers have been spotted in countless designer collections. I love how it adds a touch of elegance to any outfit.
*The Hero Piece*
A slip dress always comes in handy when I don’t know what to wear, and I typically go for either black or white. I love the simplicity but to elevate things I’ll add an oversized blazer. It's a versatile combination that can be dressed up or down, making it a reliable choice all year round.
*The Summer Brands*
Shona Joy, Jacquemus and Cult Gaia are big brands for summer. Shona Joy is so feminine and elegant, while Cult Gaia and Jacquemus are personal favourites. Their pieces instantly put you in vacation mode. For swimwear, I recommend Envelope1976 – I wear those pieces every summer.
*The Go-To Footwear*
I've had a surprising change of heart on footwear this season and ditched my usual kitten heels for flats. The Miu Miu ballerina shoes have become an obsession. When it's time to hit the beach, I love the Hoxton slide from Anine Bing. So chic. I’ll also always bring a pair of Celine sunglasses, my Anine Bing tote and the Hermès Oran sandals on holiday with me.
*The Summer Holidays*
First on the agenda this summer is Portugal. I'll be attending a music festival there and after that I'm off on a family island-hopping trip around Croatia. My favourite city, however, has to be Tokyo. The people, the culture, the food – everything about it captivates me. New York is my dream destination, though – especially after watching Sex and the City.
*The Staycation*
My ultimate Oslo staycation would be the Sommerro Hotel. From the rooftop pool to the heavenly spa and cool rooftop bar overlooking the city, it’s pure magic. Waking up to breakfast in bed is the icing on the cake.
*The Beauty Staples*
I have a few skincare products I always go back to. They include the SkinCeuticals Vitamin C serum, the Elixir Niactil serum and the COSRX Aloe Soothing sun cream. In terms of beauty trends, I’m really loving clean chrome nails, a more minimalistic make-up look and brown eyeliner. I’m probably going to jump on the brown mascara trend as well.
*The Muses*
Olivia McDowell is an absolute gem for fresh fashion inspiration. She radiates beauty from the inside out, but I also love following Laurence Fortin-Côté, Alyssa Lau and Emilie Tømmerberg. For interiors, Athena Calderone is incredible. Her attention to detail is second to none and her New York apartment has to be my dream home.
*The Breakfast*
My go-to breakfast is scrambled eggs topped with a variety of seeds for that fibre boost. I’ll also have it with toasted bread and a generous serving of greens. My latest obsession has been vanilla yogurt topped with crunchy granola and fresh berries. A bowl of goodness.
*The Foodie Favourites*
If I have a sweet craving, I try to satisfy it with watermelon. If I want something savoury, it’s green olives and vinegar-coated chips – a sassy combo! My favourite dinner to cook is a creamy beef and mushroom pasta (it’s very spicy).
*The Drinks*
I don’t drink much, but I like the odd glass of white wine – always chardonnay – and my coffee order is a matcha latte with oat milk.
*The Exhibition*
I recently saw Kenneth Blom's exhibition at Fineart in Oslo, which I really enjoyed. His latest series features paintings of mansions and the people who live in them. It’s as though you're looking in from the outside and the colours convey such a feeling of melancholy. I guess even those people seemingly living their best lives are still dealing with demons. That was just my personal takeaway.
*The TV Show*
I’ve been bingeing Sex & The City as I only started watching the show's first season this year, but now that I’m in my late 20s and navigating my own share of relationship challenges, I find myself relating to the characters in a way I might not have before.
*The Movie*
The Worst Person in the World is a romantic comedy-drama directed by Joachim Trier that makes me feel so connected. Perhaps it's because it captures the complexities of modern-day relationships so well. I just really love it – and even more so because Renate Reinsve plays the main character.
*The Playlist*
I’ve just finished putting together a summer playlist called Sultry South on Spotify. It's lounge music with subgenres of easy listening, bossa nova and Italian film music. Whenever I listen to it, I imagine myself somewhere with hot and sultry weather. What can I say? I felt very inspired after visiting Taormina in Sicily back in May.
