FASHION

I’m a fan of elevated contemporary brands. The Row is number one on my list, but my favourites also include the likes of Jil Sander, Max Mara, Khaite, Prada and Lemaire. For wardrobe staples, Totême, Filippa K and Closed are also favourites. You can wear their pieces on a coffee run or for an evening out – and I like being able to transition my look with ease.

Christina Seewald is a new brand I’m loving. It’s Vienna based, and I discovered its ribbed cashmere blends, semi-sheer jersey separates and deconstructed sweaters quite recently. Ukrainian brand Bevza does great on-trend basics with a twist, while Aeron Studio is a master of eveningwear and dresses. I recently wore one of its draped silk jumpsuits to a dinner. I love that it really celebrates women – I truly feel empowered in any of its pieces.

Right now I’m obsessed with little evening jackets and exaggerated capes. Remember capes? Why did anyone ever stop wearing them? Easy to layer and so sophisticated, I wear them a lot in the evenings if I’m not in the mood for a big coat. I prefer going vintage – think sequined, tasselled and wool.

A black suit never fails me. I’ll style it with nothing underneath when it's warm and layer it over a turtleneck when it's cold. On that note, an oversized turtleneck is something I reach for all the time – along with mohair crewnecks, tailored trousers and ankle-skimming wool skirts. Add a ballet flat or kitten heel slingback to lean into the 90s vibe.

It’s hard for me to shop in real life these days. That said, Ending Soon sells great speciality, curated vintage – as does The Real Real in Soho, New York. I pop into Dover Street Market from time to time, too. Online, SSense and Cettire are great for new and on-trend pieces, while Vinted and Vestiaire Collective have the best pre-loved edits.

James Street Co., Mr. Mittens and Vince are my favourite knitwear brands. They never let me down in the winter – or during this transitional period. A recent addition to my wardrobe was actually a very special wool top with an attached scarf detail from Jean Paul Gaultier.

BEAUTY & TRAVEL

These days I’m more into the ‘no make-up make-up’ vibe. Besides a lip gloss or mask from Belif Aquabomb and brow gel, I’ve tried to reduce the amount of make-up I wear since my skin is highly reactive. It’s been so refreshing to have a break.

I was recently given the Omnilux Red Light Therapy Mask and have been wearing it while getting my steps in on my walking pad. I also can’t live without the Skinceuticals CE Oil and have been using it for five years now. It’s a must-have if you live in a colder, more polluted environment.

My next holiday is my honeymoon. We’re deciding between Puglia and Zihuatanejo – very different places, but both with romantic allure. We’re leaning more towards Zihuatanejo for its tranquil, waterside views and the Cala de Mar Ixtapa resort.

The Californian mountains are my favourite place in the world. I harbour hopes of moving to California eventually, so going there on holiday has kept me in good spirits. I went on a press trip to the Santa Ynez valley in Santa Barbara wine country recently, and have never been so spellbound.

A dream holiday destination would be Sirmione. I need to see Lake Garda in person. Meanwhile, for a staycation in my own city, you can’t beat The Warwick New York. It just transports you to another time.

I don’t drink often but when I do it’s an EXTRA DIRTY GIN MARTINI, OR A RUM AND DIET COKE.

FOOD & CULTURE

My go-to breakfast at the moment is a hot soya milk latte with vanilla and a boiled egg. For a snack, it’s always baby carrots and black olives with Treeline dairy-free cheese. I’ve gotten into a real dinner ritual, too – cooking grilled shrimp salads with tomato, avocado and microgreens for something fresh and nutritious. I don’t drink often but when I do it’s an extra dirty gin martini, or a rum and Diet Coke.

The podcast I have been loving is the Huberman Lab. I’m a bit of a health and wellness nerd so I play this while walking or getting ready for bed. Something about doctors discussing hormone optimisation, happiness and gut health really intrigues me – I actually wanted to be a nutritionist at one point. When it comes to TV series, I’m watching Outer Range – a family drama mystery. If you’re after a new film to watch, The Menu and Descendant get my vote.

Julia Sarr-Jamois and Le Cime are must follows on Instagram. For interiors and home inspo, it has to be Petrone Studio. @SeaMossGirlies – a page dedicated to health and wellness memes – is a guilty pleasure, while my favourite travel account has to be Aureta. Finally, if you need a bit of glamour in your life, follow Jenny Walton and Jalil Johnson.
