Iga Wysocka Shares Her Go-To Outfit Formulas
Head-to-toe black is one of the easiest ways to look pulled together. Bootcut jeans with a slightly oversized jacket act as the base, and the accessories are integral here. Comfortable black heels, cat-eye sunglasses and gold jewellery add polish and a more feminine feel to the overall look.
Whenever I’m running errands, comfort comes first. My go-to is always a pair of straight leg Levi’s and an oversized jacket. Layer a warm knit underneath on colder days to ensure the look remains practical as well as stylish.
A cardigan with a black miniskirt is so on trend right now. When I need something that feels up to date but still looks like me, this is what I wear. I love a ballet flat for something a little smarter (that isn’t a boot or heel) plus they don’t ruin my feet if I have places to go afterwards.
When it comes to nights out, it’s so important to have a good statement piece in your wardrobe that will instantly upgrade pieces like black jeans. This balloon- sleeve blouse is exactly that, with its exaggerated silhouette and luxe feel – it’s perfect for the festive season, too. A fun bag, simple tailored trousers and some strappy heels are all you need to complete the look.
For an evening at home, be it a Sunday dinner with family or a slightly more glam Saturday night dinner party, I love a cashmere turtleneck with a thick cotton blend legging. Heels will dress the ensemble up.
Everyone has those days when their schedule is a little too tight to spend time thinking about an outfit, so it’s good to have a standby outfit you can always rely on. It’s the clearest example of capsule dressing and includes several of my classics – blue jeans, a white oversized t-shirt and black loafers, plus my favourite trench coat. A maroon crossbody bag adds some interest and you could even layer over a bright coloured or stripey knit on your shoulders. It just goes to show the simplest garments are always the ones worth investing in.
When the cooler weather arrives but I still don’t want to dig out my warmest coats quite yet, extra layers are a way to extend the life of my go-to combos. The uncovered ankle, cropped jean and sunglasses look with an oversized blazer is ideal at this time of year. I top it off with a cosy jumper over the shoulders – I love how timeless and neat this feels. Another crossbody bag ties everything together.
