Me & My Instagram: Débora Rosa

A quick scroll through Débora Rosa’s Instagram is enough to understand why we’ve long been fans of her effortless approach to personal style. Here, she talks us through her grid – from the perfect gym outfit to the accessories that blew up her feed…

@DEBORABROSA

My most recent post was such a cosy look. It’s an outfit I’m living in at the moment. This was my first time wearing my new balaclava, too, and I loved it. I wore it with a thick cardigan, a black midi skirt and knee-high boots.

Considering how important fashion is to me, one of my most-liked photos is actually of me in gym kit – specifically ribbed cream shorts, a sweatshirt, cap and sneakers. My most-saved photo is of me in a suede jacket, a miniskirt and tights – plus, my beloved Lemaire shoes and The Row bag. This jacket is such an amazing piece.

Now that it’s party season, I'm looking back on some of my older party looks. A favourite has to be my red velvet Tom Ford dress. It’s such a bold shade but wearing it felt amazing. When it comes to party trends, I tend to avoid sequins – I’m much more into velvet and lace.

My Celine sunglasses and The Row Moon bag are the accessories that feature on my feed the most. A good pair of sunglasses can take any outfit to the next level – and these make any look feel more elevated. Also, this bag is just the most perfect everyday style – plus, it fits all of the essentials.

I enjoy photographing my jewellery collection, too. The pieces you’ll see most often on my feed would be my favourite ring from Sophie Buhai, my silver Le Sundial shell necklace and a fun heart shaped necklace from Cinco Jewellery, which was given to me by a friend. Finally, I have a stunning piece from Chanel that makes any outfit that bit more special.

Foodie content is something I dip my toe into now and again. This post is my favourite – it’s a carousel of my favourite restaurants in Paris. My boyfriend and I are such foodies and we like to follow great chefs and wine bars online. We also watch a lot of food related content to keep up to date on the best places to visit.

I cherish my ‘filler’ photos just as much as outfit photos. Most of them are reminders of special moments and my travels. My favourites include a snap of my favourite island, some vintage cars and a piece by artist Cy Twombly.

Shoes feature on my feed a lot. It’s hard to pick favourites, but I love this one. One of my latest purchases, I’d been looking for them in my size for quite a while. They’re very easy to style with the rest of my wardrobe. I’ll mostly wear them with white jeans, a black sweater and a velvet blazer or black corduroy trousers, a white shirt and a long black coat.

I FOLLOW MY GUT when it comes to style and my aesthetic and will post WHATEVER INSPIRES ME – from fashion to beauty to food.

The Hermès SS24 show is one of the most memorable moments I captured. I was so excited as it’s a fashion house I’ve admired for so long. The show was so powerful and impactful – one I will never forget.

The look I’m most excited to re-wear is my grey set paired with a trench. I love mixing grey and camel or brown. They're such classics but when they're styled together they look cooler and more modern. I usually style this look with loafers, ballerina flats or even sneakers. It's such an easy outfit to dress up or down.

Layers and textures are what make an outfit more stylish. This look is one of my favourites – it strikes the perfect balance between comfortable and polished. Plus, accessories make all the difference – think cosy beanies, a statement scarf or a cape.

There’s never been anything I’ve been too nervous to post. Because I’m so picky about what ends up on the feed, I rarely regret something. Before anything is uploaded, it needs to feel natural and be completely in line with my aesthetic, or else it doesn’t make the cut. I follow my gut when it comes to style and my aesthetic and will post whatever inspires me – from fashion to beauty to food.

Venice was such a romantic trip for me and my boyfriend. So naturally, the photos from bring me a lot of joy. It was a trip to celebrate our one year anniversary and my birthday too. We mainly explored the city, went to the Peggy Guggenhiem museum, visited plenty of vintage stores and had some great food. We went during the Summer, meaning it was super hot and humid so I mainly wore shorts, mini dresses and flowy skirts.

This post is all about appreciating every moment – to be grateful for what you have and achieve and be grounded.

Phoebe Philo’s new collection is luxurious, minimal and unexpected – so naturally, I posted about it. The perfect balance of masculinity and sensuality, I thought she was going to do something completely different – but I was surprised in a good way. She clearly understands what modern women want and plays to this in the most fashion forward way.

I’m still so obsessed with my vintage POUF Copenhagen dish. I know silver is big news in fashion right now, but I’ve been a fan for a while when it comes to interiors. This was a perfect piece to break up a large space.

The secret to great lighting is actually quite simple. It all comes down to getting as much natural light as possible and picking the right time of day. Night shots are the hardest to get right – my advice would be to not overthink it. Just stay true to your aesthetic.

There are quite a few looks that help me feel empowered. The first is an all white outfit. I love lace and embroidery, so this look has been one of my favourite looks to post. Another is a mega party look – I recently wore head-to-toe Christopher Esber. Finally, this simple combo of white jeans, a tee and a long black coat makes me feel like a strong and powerful woman. Magda Butrym just knows how to make strong and sexy pieces every woman wants.
