The Footwear
Florrie of Florrie London designed at Aquazzura before launching her label, so it’s no surprise her own footwear is chic and beautifully made. I wore the gold Emma mules to a wedding and found them incredibly comfortable.
The Designer Collection
I’ve always considered TOTEME more of an autumn/winter brand, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how much I love in its summer collection. I’m obsessed with the brown striped two-piece, and how cool would the frayed-edge dress look at a beach club? Now I just need to book a holiday.
The Matching Set
It’s no secret we love a PJ set at SL – and how cool is this one from Hush? The subtle sun print is perfect for wearing out in the evening on holiday, or with trainers for a city summer look.
The Jeans
I’ve worn my blue Citizens of Humanity Ayla jeans to death, so I feel justified in ordering them in this chic washed black colourway. I think they’ll look great with a white tee and flip flops now, but will also work for autumn. My advice is to go down one size if you’d prefer them to sit a bit higher on your waist.
The Label Launch
Content creator Lisa Grenn has just launched Grènn Studio and it’s as chic as you’d imagine. Focusing on the classics, she’s started with one slip dress in four colours, but I know she has plans to expand with more wardrobe staples. Everything is produced in London using ethical and natural fabrics, some of which are deadstock from luxury fashion houses in France and Italy.
The High Street Hero
I’m happy to see some new-season start trickling after the summer sale period. It looks like Massimo Dutti will continue to deliver. Amid the khaki, rust, billowy whites and sumptuous suede, I’ve saved plenty of pieces to my wish list.
The Instagram Favourite
French label Polyphonie caught my eye because of a butter yellow, shirred midi dress I saw on a few stylish Instagram girls. The rest of its collection is just as pretty. Its airy cotton dresses and separates are perfect for the warmer months and pretty reasonably priced – I’ll be ordering something before the summer is out.

The Trend
The standout trend of the summer for me has been sporty chic. I think the combination of the Euros, Wimbledon and now the Olympics has taken sports influence on fashion to fever pitch. I’ve loved the juxtaposition of bright adidas shorts and tracksuit bottoms with feminine blouses, as well as the return of rugby shirts and capri pants. I’m also tempted to try a football shirt – there are plenty of great pre-loved ones on eBay.
The Handbags
Proving that great handbags don’t have to cost thousands, my Little Liffner tote has quickly become one of my favourites. The quality is excellent, it looks chic and they come in a variety of colours that work for both work and off-duty. I recently got the Tall Sprout in dark brown, which conveniently fits my laptop.
