*1. The Hero Piece*
The Row jelly flats are one of my favourite pieces this season. I have them in red and I’m wearing them with anything and everything – be it daytime dresses and shorts, or evening looks. They scream cool-girl summer, especially when you wear them with nice cocktail dresses.
*2. The Shoe*
I am most definitely a flats person. Even when I like a heel, I just don’t buy it because I never wear them. This summer, I’m going to be living in these lace Loro Piana moccasins. Pretty and practical.
*3. The Bikini*
I prefer bikinis to one-pieces, and the tinier the better. I love the exclusive capsule KOIBIRD did with Adriana Degreas, as I like seashells for summer… Ground-breaking, I know!
*4. The Dress*
I collect all of Rodarte’s slip dresses. They’re easy to pack and work perfectly for both summer days and nights. I usually take a few on holiday. We just received this pink one at the boutique, so that’s next on my list.
*5. The Bag*
I only started carrying a Goyard Saint Louis PM bag recently, as I was never that into logos, but I have to say it’s been a game-changer. No matter which type of vacation I go on, this is the lightest, most durable carry-all. I try to get the limited-edition versions to make them feel more special. Then, I usually take a novelty bag for evenings – something beaded, crystal or vintage – or a little Hermès Bolide mini bag.
*6. The Jewellery*
I love Jade Trau – it does such great, everyday pieces. The earrings by Vram jewellery are high on my wish list too.
*7. The Beach Coverup*
I like wearing Tombolo shirts over my bikini. Otherwise I just throw on light kaftans and robes I’ve accumulated from various travels and seasons.
*8. The Sunglasses*
Lately I’ve been buying Jacques Marie Mage – they are very light, high quality and quite cool looking.
*9. The Luggage*
I use my cabin-size Rimowa x Off-White bag a lot because it's very lightweight. As I’ve mentioned, I can't travel without my Goyard holdall tote, and sometimes I bring out my Hermès luggage if it’s a special trip or I’m flying with my husband, who has to carry it because it's heavy.
*10. The Beauty Essential*
I can be a total sucker for trends, so I am currently using all of Rhode’s lip glosses and phone cases in every colour! For nails, I love the unicorn purple ZOYA just released, ‘Paisley’. I also love Hermès mascaras in various colours – they come off when you wash your face without the need for extra make-up remover.
*11. The Beauty Tool*
I like LED light gadgets, and the LYMA laser is great if you use it consistently. I’ve also been meaning to try DrPen’s micro-needling tools – they look very promising.
*12. The Suncare Brand*
Metagenics is my favourite suncare brand, alongside Heliocare. Both deliver a high dose of SPF, and they aren’t too sticky or white. I also love Vacation for its 80s branding and that nostalgic summer scent.
*13. The Scent*
I like a Comfort Zone home fragrance called ‘Tranquillity’. It has an unexpected powdery scent that I can’t define but it’s like nothing else, and I really enjoy it in my house. When I travel, if I find a great store, they often have perfumes, oils and special blends that I like to buy and experiment with. I am not a big-brand fragrance kind of person. I tend to buy smaller-batch scents, so I encourage people to check out the little local brands when they are in a cool shop. One that I love is Capsule Parfumerie.
*14. The Podcast*
I listen to Huberman Lab and The Drive for health and longevity tips – mainly because I’m getting older and need to start paying more attention to my health.
*15. The Book*
I have children, so at the moment I’m reading Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt. I loved Out of this Century, the autobiography of Peggy Guggenheim, and up next is Entangled Life, a book about the huge power of fungi.
*16. The Summer Cocktail*
My favourite summer flavours are peaches and watermelons. So, anything with peach is perfect – like a bellini.
*17. The Tablescaping Essential*
I love the Ukrainian brand Gunia Project – I use a lot of its plates and platters for summer entertaining. The siren and sea motifs have a hand-painted folklore-meets-contemporary vibe that’s perfect for a summer or seaside table. I also love the fig plates.
*18. The Bucket List Hotel*
The Ranch at Rock Creek in Montana is where I’m going this summer. From there we’ll be making a few stops around Yellowstone National Park, then it’s on to Amangiri in Utah.
*19. The Lunch Spot*
Luca London is a great Italian restaurant in Clerkenwell with a small but charming cobblestoned outdoor space – perfect for enjoying cacio e pepe truffle pasta.
