*The Look*

Simple, classic and effortless. These are the words that describe our style. We always stick to the basics and classic pieces. We want to wear outfits that we will feel good about years from now.” – Cecilie Moosgaard

*The Hero Brands*

“I’m loving KYE Intimates, especially the Triangle bras and matching undies  – the subtle see-through fabric looks very elegant. They are perfect for wearing under an open shirt.” – Cecilie

“I’m personally loving everything FLORE FLORE does at the moment. Its classic Car tee is perfect for everyday and I’m currently eyeing up the newly launched white shirts.” – Amalie Moosgaard

*The Indie Brands*

Service Projects is a brand to know. It’s a small tableware brand that sells wonderful steel and ceramic pieces. Definitely worth a follow on Instagram.” – Cecilie

“One of my favourite small brands is a skincare brand called LESSE. I use its sunscreen every day and the products all come in simple, beautiful packaging.” – Amalie

MATTEAU; KYE INTIMATES

*The Outfit Formula*

“A good pair of jeans, either in a light blue wash or a very dark navy wash, paired with a perfect white tee and a blazer is my go-to look. Depending on the occasion, I opt for either an oversized tweed blazer or a small, fitted black blazer. Adding some great jewellery pieces completes the look. My go-to footwear options are always ballet flats or a small kitten heel. Just make sure you take your time finding the perfect white tee and denim that fits you perfectly.” – Cecilie

“We often say our style might be a bit boring, but we don’t find boring to be bad. It just means you’ve found the styles that work for you, and then you can always dress them up with accessories – whether it's a belt, jewellery or even a nice hair clip.” – Amalie

*The Beach Fits*

“I love wearing a slip dress or a silk skirt on holiday, especially when I want to look a bit more put-together for dinner. Refine does some great fitting ones.” – Amalie

“Flowy dresses are such a no-brainer for the beach, and one of my favourite brands has to be Matteau. Elsewhere, you can’t go wrong with an oversized shirt paired with a black bikini.” – Cecilie

*The Summer-In-The-City Combos*

“I keep things super simple with good-quality t-shirts and denim jeans paired with a cool but clean-looking kitten heel.” – Amalie

“For off-duty days, I would probably pair a simple tee and jeans with flip flops for comfort – a trend you’ll see a lot of other Copenhageners wearing this season.” – Cecilie

MATTEAU; LIÉ STUDIO

*The Trends*

“Amalie and I aren’t usually big fans of shorts, but we have been loving the bermuda shorts trend this summer. They’re great for warmer weather and look good with a white t-shirt. I have a pair from TOTEME that I love.” – Cecilie

“I jumped on the animal print trend this summer – something I never thought I would do. I was in Milan a few weeks ago and, while I was taking a break from the showroom to get some lunch, I spotted a pair of classic ballet flats in zebra print in a tiny store. I couldn't stop thinking about them when I got home from Milan, so I had my lovely colleague buy them and bring them back for me. I love wearing them with long oversized denim jeans and a simple t-shirt. They look really cool. I’m still not convinced about leopard print, though.” – Amalie

*The Colours*

“I’m loving burgundy red right now. We’ve just launched leather goods with LIÉ STUDIO and one of the colours is this perfect burgundy red – which looks great with blue denim. For evenings out, I always wear the Charlie Clutch from our collection. I also love a burgundy red nail.” – Amalie

“Dark green is another colour I find myself gravitating towards. We just launched our Summer Stones series at LIÉ STUDIO, featuring natural stones including green agate.” – Cecilie

*The Accessories*

“Our Norma Tote comes everywhere with both of us, and I never leave the house without my favourite sunnies from Khaite x Oliver Peoples.” – Amalie

“I like a black ballet flat during the spring and summer season, which I always buy from small independent stores in Italy. For sunglasses, I’m wearing the River model from Monokel Eyewear on repeat.” – Cecilie

*The Swimwear*

“I prefer a classic black triangle bikini or a well-fitted swimsuit. LIDO makes great ones, and then I have a one-shoulder swimsuit that I love from Anemos.” – Cecilie

“I’m also very into a simple black strapless swimsuit. I recently found the perfect one at COS.” – Amalie

*The Shops*

“In Copenhagen, I love shopping at IBlameLulu for second-hand luxury. We've also just opened our own store on Vognmagergade in central Copenhagen, showcasing the full collection.” – Cecilie

“I recently visited BOMI  in New York, a new multi-brand store on Mercer Street. It's incredibly well curated and really sparked the shopping bug.” – Amalie

*The Vintage Hot Spots*

“New York is always great for vintage shopping. There are so many good spots but I personally love Chickee’s Vintage and Seven Wonders Collective.” – Cecilie

“Mexico City has great second-hand finds if you’re looking for vintage Levi’s without wanting to spend a fortune. Vestiaire Collective and TheRealReal are both no-brainers online.” – Amalie

ANEMOS

*The Favourite Pieces*

“We share an old Ralph Lauren tweed men’s jacket which we found in New York years ago. It’s currently at Amalie’s place, but we constantly borrow (read: steal) it from one another. I always get compliments when I wear it.” – Cecilie

“I feel like so many of my wardrobe pieces have a story behind them or hold some sort of sentimental value. One of my most memorable pieces might be the first designer bag I bought in New York with the money I earned from my first modelling job for Prada. It's a Marni trunk bag in smooth black leather – I would never get rid of it.” – Amalie

*The Style Rules*

“Getting dressed in the morning should be easy. Stick to classic styles that you feel comfortable in and try not to be overly influenced by trends.” – Amalie

“Don’t be afraid to re-wear things. It won't look boring if you opt for good accessories like shoes, jewellery, bags or belts.” – Cecilie

*The Fashion Inspo*

“I remember reading Leandra Medine Cohen’s Man Repeller several years ago, and I absolutely loved it. I admired how Leandra has always embraced freedom in her clothes and remained true to herself, which is so important.” – Cecilie

“My inspiration has come from the incredible brands and people we’ve met and worked with along the way. We were both exclusively cast for the SS16 show for Prada in Milan, which marked the start of some incredible years working with high-fashion brands around the world. It was amazing to collaborate with so many creative minds.” – Amalie

*The Style Muses*

“There are so many wonderful people who inspire us, whether it's our colleagues at LIÉ or people we follow on Instagram. Honourable mention has to go to Sylvie Mus, who we always turn to for style inspiration.” – Amalie

“I would add Felicity Brand – who has such a good eye and always wears the coolest outfits.” – Cecilie

*The Summer Reads*

“I’m planning on reading Open by Andre Agassi this summer. I've heard so many good things about it.” – Cecilie

“The latest book I bought was a fantastic cookbook by Julius Roberts with the most delicious recipes. I highly recommend it.” – Amalie

*The Beauty Must-Haves*

“Merit’s products are some of our favourites. I love the blushers – they apply beautifully and give you that perfect sun-kissed flush.” – Amalie

“I’m a big fan of the highlighter. I never want anything too intense – just a healthy amount of glow. When it comes to skincare, the Skin Food by Weleda is a cult product I’ll always love.” – Cecilie

*The Summer Fragrances*

“Le Labo’s Another 13 has been a favourite of mine for a couple of years now, and I absolutely love it during the warmer months. I wear it year-round, but it always reminds me of summer.”  – Cecilie

“I love my roll-on perfume oil from the small brand Basium. All the ingredients are organic and the scents are so calming. My favourite is Beau.” – Amalie
