The Knitwear Brands Everyone Should Know

Whether it’s staple layering pieces or statement designs, good knitwear will see you right through to spring. From less well-known labels to all-time favourites, here are the names and styles we rate.

All products on this page have been selected by our editorial team, however we may make commission on some products.

If it’s luxury cashmere you’re after, Allude is a name to know. The Munich-born brand is defined by its contemporary and refined aesthetic. Our top picks include everything from plunging v-necks to fisherman sweaters.

Lisa Yang

All of Lisa Yang’s designs are created with wearability and longevity in mind. Expect quality woollens and cosy cashmere pieces in muted colours, with plenty of attention given to even the smallest of details.

You might already be familiar with this SL favourite. The brand focuses its designs on the modern woman and her lifestyle – quality and versatility are always the priority. The timeless collection is all designed to work together.

Skall Studio

This Sustainable label was founded by siblings Julie and Marie Skall in Denmark. It’s become synonymous with natural materials and top craftsmanship, especially as the signature knitwear is made in the local community. Expect to find a contemporary take on the classics.

VEN Store

Launched by former fashion editor Charlotte Lewis, this London-based label offers simple and luxurious knits with a lot of focus on fit and fabric. We love the elevated, timeless styles.

Zenggi designer Marian Wigger is a relatively new name on our radar. Being a Scandi export, she’s best known for her subtle colour palette and classic shapes – we love the Dane pullover and soft merino cardigan.
