THE A-LIST DRINKS LAUNCH:

Sir Davis

Whisky has been Beyoncé’s drink of choice for years. Now she’s teamed up with Moët Hennessy and renowned master distiller Bill Lumsden to create Sir Davis, her own whisky brand. Named in honour of her whisky-loving great-grandfather, Davis Hogue – a successful moonshiner in the American South during Prohibition – Sir Davis comes in a strikingly beautiful bottle (no surprise there) and is finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The result is a whisky with hints of spice and fruit – ideal for sipping as the temperature begins to drop.

THE HOTEL:

Palazzo Talia

Who knew film directors were so hospitable? First, Francis Ford Coppola opened Palazzo Margherita in southern Italy. Now Luca Guadagnino has overseen the conversion of Palazzo Talìa – a 16th-century school moments from the Fontana di Trevi. The visionary mind that gave the world Call Me By Your Name and Challengers has bequeathed us a maximalist boutique hotel where sensual interiors span the centuries to grand yet intimate effect: modern chandeliers are matched to the building’s original features, bold contemporary carpets share attention with ornate ceiling frescos. Start your evenings with oyster happy hour in the mirrored Bar della Musa, then slide into the timeless Tramae restaurant – or its leafy courtyard – for dinner.

THE MEMBERS’ CLUB:

Làlia, Mallorca

Tatjana von Stein is the London-based designer behind Mallorca's first private members’ club, Làlia. Set in a four-level building overlooking Palma's Placa de Santa Eulalia, the historic townhouse has been fully transformed into a holistic space that celebrates the local spirit with a contemporary vision. For Làlia, von Stein brought together a community of Mallorca-based creatives to handmake almost every detail – from bespoke fitted furniture to the ceramics on display, all the creations make use of local materials. We love the look of the look of the chic bar – complete with an antique drinks trolley.

THE BEAUTY LAUNCH:

Balmain Beauty

Fashion house Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing has launched Balmain Beauty. Its first foray is a collection of eight maximalist scents, named Les Éternels. For the collection, Rousteing studied the art of scent-making, before delving into the house's archives and handpicking four of Balmain's legacy scents – Vent Vert, Ivoire, Ébène, and Carbone – to be reinvented for the modern era. We can’t wait to see where the brand goes next.
