THE MINIMALIST TABLEWARE

Esma Dereboy

Turkish-based Esma Dereboy trained in the art of ceramics in her hometown of Kutahya. She now creates products for hotels like Raffles Istanbul and Six Senses Maldives. A few years ago, she launched a modern and minimal range of handmade porcelain tableware sets. Different colours, forms and textures have been designed to mix and match, so no two tablescapes look the same. We love the glossy neutrals – perfect for everyday dining or layering up for special occasions.

THE COFFEE TABLE BOOK

Art Deco By Jena Quinn & Lucy Derbyshire

Fancy injecting some Hollywood glamour into your home? Art Deco captures the vitality and modernity of the Jazz Age, from the refined interiors of 1920s Paris to the decadent and luxurious glamour of American architecture. The bold geometry, simplicity of form and luxurious materials of art deco still feel modern today and continue to influence many current designers. With in-depth professional advice on how to use pattern, lighting, furniture and textiles, the book will give you the tools to incorporate this sophisticated era into your own interiors.

THE COOL CANDLE BRAND

DeFrei Candles

Celebrity make-up artist and hair stylist Danny Defreitas has long been a fan of beautiful scents – which is why he decided to study the art and science of candle making. Now a certified chandler (a maker of wax candles), he’s come up with Defrei, a range of plant-based candles in beautiful vessels. My favourite is Lobby, which has a rich gourmand base of black amber, spiced vanilla and sandalwood.

THE MERINO BEDDING

Shleep

Wool is scientifically proven to increase deep sleep by 25%, and encourages people to fall asleep 25% faster. Shleep is a luxury lifestyle brand that uses the finest Australian merino wool to create products that promise sleep-health benefits, not only due to the ultra-softness of the fibres but also because they wick away moisture from skin and regulating temperature through the breathable functionality of the fabric. Recently launched in the UK and available at Harrods and John Bell & Croyden as well as online, I love the subtle, elegant colourways – and the loungewear is well worth a look too.

THE CHARITY AUCTION

Vinterior x The Dolls House Company

Online marketplace for pre-loved furniture Vinterior has partnered with The Kensington Dollshouse Company to create a one-of-a-kind mid-century replica. On display at east London’s Museum of the Home, it will be auctioned off for charity between 16th and 20th October, with proceeds going towards the museum’s social engagement and community outreach work. This will be the first and possibly the only time a Kensington Dollshouse Company vintage house will be available for the public to purchase. The pre-loved house has been saved from landfill and carefully restored to its former glory. The house includes a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, each decorated in Edward Bulmer Natural Paint and meticulously furnished with period-appropriate pieces, including an Eames rocking chair and industrial pendant lamps.

THE FABRIC LAUNCH

Joya by Ellen Merchant

The interiors trend for earthy tones and muted prints is going nowhere and Joya, the first complete collection from British textile designer Ellen Merchant, beautifully illustrates this look. This October, Ellen will introduce wallpapers and linens in natural colourways which feature playful botanicals characterised by Ellen’s handcrafted techniques. The collection also features colours from a palette inspired by the English coastline – think rust oranges, clay reds, seafoam greens and grey blues.

THE RUG COLLABORATION

If you like Nordic Knots rug on the new SheerLuxe podcast set, you might be interested to know the Scandinavian rug brand has just collaborated with LA-based Tase Gallery on a collection of five hand-knotted rugs. Reimagining everyday patterns through a contemporary lens, the collection comprises two distinctive designs: the ‘Diamond’ and the ‘Tigris’. Deep maroons and golden hues bring warmth while dusty powder blues and creams add lightness.

THE HANDMADE CERAMICS

Lucy Deaner

If you like Martha Freud’s work, you’ll love the latest collection from Lucy Deaner. Working in her inky hand-drawn style, the self-taught illustrator wanted to create a collection of artwork and decorative ceramics that can nestle on a bookshelf or hang on the wall at home. Often scribbling positive quotes on scraps of paper and pinning them to her studio wall, Lucy would look at them for encouragement and inspiration when starting her business. Her The Feelings of Words collection comprises five art prints and 16 one-off, perfectly imperfect ceramics.

THE WALLPAPER DESIGNS

Zardi & Zardi

To celebrate 20 years in business, Zardi & Zardi is launching six new colourways of its popular Chinoiserie wallpaper print. Copied from a hand-painted panorama hanging in a private home, it is as near to the original as you could find, with months spent meticulously recreating the mottled background to give it an aged look and carefully replicating the subtle colour palette throughout. The result is an elegant design of trailing branches, exotic birds, pomegranates, fruits, flowering trees and jardinieres.

THE MARBLE LAMPS

Ruben by Heathfield & Co

The latest launch from Heathfield & Co shines a light on a classic material – Calacatta marble. Featuring an exclusive set of two conical shaped lamps crafted from solid marble, the Ruben collection is grounded in simplicity and a connection to nature. Lamps can sometimes be a bit unappealing when not switched on, but these are beautifully simple objects by day that transform into an atmospheric light source at night.
