Paloma

This is essentially a Margarita that has been lengthened with fruit juice and soda. If ever you need to convert someone to tequila, this is the sort of drink that could change their mind – sweet but peppery and piquant.

Ingredients
50ml of Blanco tequila
10ml or 2 tsp of agave syrup
10ml or 2 tsp of lime juice
30ml of pink grapefruit juice
Top up with soda water (grapefruit soda if possible)
Twist of grapefruit zest to garnish
Method
Step 1

Shake the first four ingredients with ice cubes and strain over cubed ice in a highball glass. Top with soda water or pink grapefruit soda if possible. Garnish with a twist of grapefruit zest.
