Podcast Producer/Editor

About the Role:

SheerLuxe is seeking a talented and creative Podcast Producer/Editor to join our broadcasting team. This exciting role works across editorial and commercial podcasts, shaping and producing all media output across SheerLuxe, SLMan and LG platforms. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Broadcasting and a small team of videographers to create and edit engaging content for podcasts, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, with scope to focus on animation, music and sound. This role will suit someone who thrives on creative independence, has an entrepreneurial mindset and proactively generates new ideas to enhance the team’s output.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brainstorm and develop initial creative concepts for podcasts and video content.
  • Oversee production, including filming, lighting, and multicam set-ups.
  • Handle post-production, editing long- and short-form content, incorporating animations and visual assets.
  • Manage distribution and promotion of content across platforms.
  • Create social-first, trend-led content that engages our audience across all brands.
  • Take a data-driven approach to optimize content performance.
  • Collaborate across teams, from project management to editorial and social.

About You:

  • 1-2 years of industry experience (or equivalent) in video and podcast production.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition and Photoshop.
  • Strong technical audio skills; able to troubleshoot technology and audio issues.
  • Confident with Blackmagic, Sony or equivalent cameras, studio set-ups and live vision/audio mixing.
  • Explore and integrate AI tools (e.g. Descript, Adobe Firefly, Runway, ElevenLabs, ChatGPT) to enhance editing, transcription, scripting or creative processes.
  • Understanding of design principles and ability to adapt attractive editing styles to match brand tone while adding a creative flair.
  • Knowledgeable about current podcasting trends and social media content.
  • Strong storytelling skills and conceptual thinking.
  • Able to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a positive, proactive attitude.

Desirable Experience:

  • Commercial/brand experience.
  • Digital publishing background.
